Really hope they have branching "what ifs" stories, like an option for Goku to join Raditz, a way to beat Raditz so badly that he forgets who or where he is like in the older game and obviously this "what if" of Krillin partenering with Goku instead of Piccolo, with Roshi coming in at the end.

raditz is scared of nappa and vegeta. i think they should give him a redemption arc. Have gohans power level break his gauge and he realizes, maybe they can win. Then, instead of piccolo, he trains gohan to beat vegeta and napa. He loses to vegeta and napa (goku still handles it) but when the frieza fight comes along, instead of krillin dying, gohan does. Now him and goku become super saiyin and absolutley demolish frieza.

So these are the games strengths: Sparking Zero is best at Gameplay, Kakarot is best at Story Mode Cutscenes, and Xenoverse is best at What-If Storytelling & Cutscenes.

Kind of a let down. Had Sparking Zero aced the Story mode cutscenes to be at least on par with Storymode of Kakarot or Xenoverse, they would have easily become the greatest Dragon Ball Z game of all time. Hands down. Now my predictor rating for the game is 7.5. It’s good, but not great.

They should just make a full dragon ball telltale with dragon ball gameplay. Like each action can lead to different outcomes from the overall story. Something with a lot of story branches, certain characters die or live and the story still continues. It would be great too if the story changes depending if you win or lose the game.

I know nobody will play him, but if they gave him a full moveset, and abilities, Raditz must be a playable character, otherwise that’s kinda insane that they gave him his abilities. (Also I’m hoping this game’s steam deck accessible, they finally made Kakarot accessible, so being able to travel and practice would be AMAZING! I wish it came out today, because my flight is literally tomorrow morning.)

I was almost expecting Goku to do like what he did in piccolo saga where krillin would charge up the destruct disk to kill both goku (against his will) and raditz. Although i guess that would make it too similar to the original fight

I love the whole what if Mode looks cool the graphics of the characters are really nice the characters the eyes blink the hair moves from the wind same with the environment the grass moves the ocean waves moving the colors really pop makes the world look real the combat looks freaking awesome and another cool thing the powering up also looks really cool the clothing will move and there is dust blowing everywhere just like in the anime

@@OkeyDokeySmokey I doubt the others would get involved if Goku were alive. He'd see the threat and face off against both on his own. He would easily beat the Saibamen like Piccolo did. He'd should be able to take Nappa out since he'd probably be just above Piccolo's power level of 3500. Then after that he'd be struggling against Vegeta who had a power level of 18,000. I don't look for Vegeta to be merciful either and his first Galick Gun would take Goku out without issue

I don’t like the cutscenes. To many summary slides. Kakarot is still better for cutscenes. How could they underestimate the value of gorgeous story mode cutscenes. The original tenkachi series was lacking in them. Now this. That means that Kakarot, and even Xenoverse have better cutscenes.

Goku goes with Piccolo in the original. This (the last few minutes) Goku opts to go alone and Krillin goes with him. Which apparently this what if ends with Roshi coming in with his Lighting Suprise and Piccolo shows up to kill Raditz with the Special Beam Cannon

They're already pumping out dlc like a xenoverse game with a season pass and 3 dlc packs for it they can afford a voice actor for narration.
