Seppo Innanen I agree. They are very versatile. The range of tones is wide. Had to tame the mids for me. I found the Analysis Plus Bass Oval cable to work well. It tames the high mids a bit and brings out the lower mids. It is a very musical cable. I like the balance string to string of volume and tone of my Euro 5. The high notes still sound full.

SUGGESTION: When you gentlemen are twisting each other's knobs, could you please do it more SLOWLY? The thing is, when one of you is down there fiddling with the other fellow's knob, you're changing the sound so quickly that we, the viewers, can't really get a decent read on what sounds are being produced. By the time we're wondering if we hear something we really like, it's gone, and we're left not knowing whether it was ever really there. It's frustrating. Bearing that in mind, might each of you please consider taking a more controlled approach to manipulating the the other gentleman's knob? I can see the eagerness is a strong compulsion, but I'm just requesting a bit of restraint. I think you'll find that, if you're just a bit less eager, you'll be able to bend down there, take hold, and achieve a better, more pleasing result -- and that's what we're all looking for, right? So, summing up: Relax, go slow, get in there there, place your hand on the knob, and don't be in such a hurry!

They did warwick did the streamer in 87 while spector and ned did it in the NS2 in 1984 i remember correctly. Orignally there was a disbute about it and warwick was paying spector to use the design but that fell off after stuart spector sold the company to Kramer and warwick changed the headstocks and bridge (to what it is today which looks like a copy of the alembic bridge imo)

Warwick was a failing company until they introduced the Spector Clone (aka Streamer). Their other models were failures. Then, they got lots of endorsers to get on board once the Streamer sales provided the revenue to get them in "the game" and now their former failed bass models are selling well due to big name players endorsing them. Spector made a name for themselves by being unique and innovative!!!

Joe Dazey it wasnt failing. the warwick founder is the son of the guy that owned framus guitars. so he decided to build basses and didnt have a design and licensed the spector design. when that ran out he changed the headstock and kept producing them. that was the point where the lawsuite came in. anyway we all know who was first :) i have bought a warwick streamer stage 1 in the late 90ies for 800 bucks and later found out its the 127th bass they ever produced. completely handmade, and i LOVE it, no matter who came up with the design first :)

Such great tone and awesome instruments - but I don't know why Spector insists on using so much gold hardware! Looks gaudy IMO and seems to corrode faster than other colors. I think these basses would be much better served with black hardware.
