Spys side special is not a pistol It is a revolver Specifically the diamond back, which gains a crit charge for every backstab and sap

@@Octol1ng well yeah, in TF2. but in any categorization that matters, they are still shared titles. on a technicality, not EVERY revolver is a pistol. There were carbines made that used a revolver as a framework, but again, in most cases, revolvers and pistols are synonymous.

The reason why spy becomes visible when he touches somebody is due to a mechanic called cloak flickering in TF2 where if a spy runs into somebody his cloak gets revealed for half a second

The smash attacks are based off of his taunts in tf2, the f-smash is his knife tauntkill while the up smash is the disguise kit taunt and the down smash is the “buy a life” taunt edit: dash attack is also the boxtrot taunt

For upcoming Heavy, i wish there would also be a sort of Backstab attack, but he does this with his mittens(Holiday Punch) that forces the foe to taunt, creating an opening for Heavy's next attack.

Maybe this gets covered later in the video, in which case I'll delete my comment but I can explain the "sometimes become Sans" thing. Picking the workshop option once disguises you as a differently colored spy. Picking it additional times disguises you as other workshop characters who are currently in the match. There are also hotkeys for everything in the disguise menu so you can equip any disguise in a split second if you're good enough at it. Disguises mimic the jumps (and jump amounts), weight, taunts, general physics, & basic things like crouches, walks, runs, & parries. Not sure how useful that is in fights but it's great in Break the Targets. You get crits after landing backstabs & saps. Also, the music choices in this video are really good.

spy tf2 was such a fun character to try out in a 4-player setting :D you get to disguise as other people!! you can cloak and sap and get crits for the diamondback! you can even do cool trickstabs with well-placed fair or ftilt! he doesn't get a proper taunt, but you can still move while crouching, as a reference to the spycrab :D honestly just love how spy's gimmicks work in rivals, which is a nice change from when i tried engi and realized he's just not that great when adapted to rivals

Yo link light you might not see this but the character colonel sanders is just broken if you choose his super alt and then do the super beam holding down you get a instant game win and he cannot be ko’d but if you put 3 pepsi man x on one team and colonel kills 2 of them its a instant win for the Pepsi man and that’s the only way to defeat him besides using himself cause man dosent work his up just sends him to the sky but no ko he has a warp barrier so if you see this comment I would highly recommend Pepsi man x and the regular Pepsi man and colonel sanders they are super fun also if you choose Ronald wins and 3 Pepsi man x. On teams the game will freak out on the win screen lmao

Backstab should be 1 hit instakill bc your opponents will be moving almost constantly making it more difficult to get one, and skillfull play would reward you by you being good enough to get a backstab
