NEW Standard Exodia Mage! Maiev Teron OTK Combo! | Hearthstone

The goal of this Hearthstone Standard Exodia Mage OTK combo deck is to use Archmage Antonidas combined with Sorcerer's Apprentice! We do this by playing Antonidas and Maiev Shadowsong. Then we play Khadgar, double Sorcerer's, Teron Gorefiend, and pop open the Gorefiend! Infinite fireballs! Exodia! Extremely challenging, but fun meme deck! Good luck!

Honestly, if a deck requires careful planning and hand/minion management to get the OTK I do not mind it. This is kind of awesome.

this is kind of a waste of time 70% of the time your going to lose. Nice idea, but to hope on not dying for a complete turn....basically you can't do anything for 1 turn and thats a 9th turn at least. If the board is empty your fine but you still need some uber luck to do it....RNG mage.

Thats not really a resurrect priest with those garbage minions, its a quest-control priest with a mass resurrect card. Also, don't hate priest, it's better than no brain face and zoo decks.

I've been giving some thoughts on OTK decks for mage and had the same idea for Exodia but it still has mana issues and too many combo cards needed. However I still managed to find an OK version of OTK : put Kael'thas dormant with Maev, wait 2 turns for Kael'thas awakenning then Fireball x2 to the face, Pyroblast to the face, Ray of frost x2 on Kael'thas and Pyroblast to the face. A 32 dammage combo which requires very few preperation (no mana or drawing order issues), and only 7 combo cards (5 in the final phase after Kael'thas and Maev were played). With the usual control/card draw package I think it's the closest mage OTK deck to a viable deck, even though it's still a bad deck. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy your videos.

idk if he is the one who came up with this... before the expansion there was a discussion on the Mage theory crafting Competitive HS discord channel where some people came up with this. Their version played Rocket Augmerchant.

How it works? why antonidas wasn't summoned?

There are 2 possible reasons: 1) Antonidas was placed first, and so when it was destroyed, the game remembers the summoning order, and summons him before the Khadgar 2) Antonidas was placed on the leftmost tile, and the game remembers his tile position, and summons the minions in tile order, where he is before Khadgar

The easier way would be just playing khadgar after teron. Also I think khadgar summoning minions this way is a glitch, because they are essentialy all summoned at the same time, so khadgar shouldn't trigger.

Might bena little easier to play (Girl + Girl + Teron + Coin + maiev) then in two turns play antoniadas + khadgar and kill off your Teron. Also 1 mana 2/1 that gives rush could be useful for killing Teron or just as an added ping

I found the "easier" combo: It use Six mana drop (5/5 summon a low cost minions for each player) Six drop + Maiev ... Girl, girl, Teron Six drop summon a Khadgar Frostball + 1 mana frost (to kill teron) Fireball to kill any of six drops {it summon a Antonidas) Another copy of 1 mana frost to take a first fireball

Two turns later Six drop already in game, Summon 2 girls (its 2+2 =4mana), than summon a Teron (its +3 mana), 6 mana drop dies and summon Kathgar for free, (you already spend 2+2+3 = 7 mana), frostbolt to Teron (+2 mana), 1 mana frost (+1 mana) Its 10 mana Teron dies and summon double six-mana-drop and 4 girls (coz Kathgar in game). Kill one of six drops by free fireball for summon Antonidas from your hand. And than you have only one 1-mana-frost in your hand. That is free too(4 girls, remember?), use it for take free fireball. Done.

just look up a budget version of whatever hunter you are able to play with the legendaries you currently have. Like if you have Zephrys, look up budget highlander hunter. If you have Leoroxx, look up budget beast hunter.

This shouldn't work at all since all the minions, including Khadgar reappear at the same time. When Theron Gorefiend dies and summons all the killed minions, there is no Khadgar on the board yet. This bug/inconsistency also happens in battlegrounds when Khadgar comes out of a shredder and microbots were attached, resulting in six bots instead of three.

its based off of what was summoned first, thats why there arent 2 antons, the anton comes back first, then chadgar since he was summoned 2nd, then the sorc aprentices after him get doubled . its not a bug, its how the game checks order on summons and resummons.
