Don't you want freedom of choice in a game like this ? What if you didn't even want to play as a human ? Forget male/female , black/white. What if you wanted to be some form of alien ? And one of the game mechanics around it is how people would react to your particular chosen race ? Or am I stuck in Morrowind in some messed up 2002 time loop ?

When a game is good, you end up wishing it was longer, like Cyberpunk 2077, or Baulder's Gate 3. I have a feeling this game will be similarly high quality but so much shorter then the two titles i mentioned, and will leave people wishing it was double the length or more.

Nope, there is that jacket, a winter outfit and not not much else. Watch the interview Dantic did with the developers for more insight. They don’t make it sound good but at least they are honest with him. Basically no character customisation, no skill trees, the creature is invincible so basic gameplay with no concern for your companion. They are basically just a tool to use unfortunately. The only ability upgrades you get is by meeting key people in the game, you do quests for them etc you get a new ability. Pretty generic stuff. You can’t side with the dark side either. They are treated more like the police. You can cancel out a wanted level by linking to a satellite while you are in your spaceship. It’s not Red Dead Redemption or GTA in space unfortunately lol so don’t go in expecting that level of nuance and brilliance. It is Ubisoft after all so they will add expensive paid dlc later to flesh things out no doubt that will not lead to anything but basically the same thing to do in a different area. So far there seems to only be 3 basic mission types available too. The fact the devs wouldn’t elaborate on this should raise red flags.

The passive income reminds me of doing little side missions/ spending currency in the original Assassins Creed games building cafes and such. Going to be fun! I am excited for this game, can't wait for it, my wife is also very interested in playing it so I hope she enjoys it too :)

I was hoping they added a weapon selection system, you can only carry her pistol. Prob have different details for stealth and combat. You can pick up other weapons but not keep a sniper or anything like that in innovatory

If it doesn’t have 100 hours worth of gameplay then it’s not worth $100+ Spending over $100 on a game doesn’t bother me if it’s an open world game. There is normally 100’s of hours worth of playtime. But a 30 hour game should be around $50. Not $109.

Side quest idea- you’re smuggling a captured Jedi and your ship breaks down in deep space and a starweird boards your ship and you have to free the Jedi and work together to survive the encounter they could make it like alien isolation but in third person

Very few games are 200 hours. Jedi Survivor is shorter in length and cost the same price. No one complained then. Spiderman 2 is even shorter, same price, no one complained then.

bro games were $60 back then and where like 5-10 hours long, games tend to be alot longer now, how are people going to complain about a game being $70 and 30-60 hours long? look at games like BioShock, batman, ghost of Tsushima GOW, Jedi survivor, resident evil, assassins creed 2, spiderman, dead space and ect. all games under 60 hours that are not only amazing but 100% worth the full price. not everybody got time for 200 hour games, some of us have full time jobs, families and a life, I'm not trying to spend 6 months or more trying to beat a 200 hour game and in now way should that ever be the standard. we do not need a Baldur's gate 3, tears of the kingdom, Witcher 3 and Elden ring type games that are 200+ for every damn game release, we don't all go time for that

The problem with this is limited freedom cloaked with a bunch of bells and whistles ... Like most AAA games. Ive been playing games with charachters like her since Urban Chaos on ps1 so dont get at me about the seemingly easiest and most negative thing to type or say. How do you waste the opportunity for the first truly open world Star Wars game ? Limit who you want to or can be. Thats it. This to me is like Elder Scrolls in terms of fantasy , world depth, etc. It's not that its a female charachter. When I played Shadows Of The Empire on n64 i wasnt a fan of Dash too much but stuck with it. However , I remember playing that and thinking ... What if this was like its own world and you could be who or whatever you wanted ... Here we are DECADES later , and that still isnt a thing ? Mind you , i dont mind single player games. Games where ima female. A male. A werewolf. A vampire. This isnt just a single player game ... ITS OPEN WORLD STAR WARS for crying out loud. Why cant i be my own Boba Fet ? Thats why gamers are complaining. Were not playing our fantasy , were playing the developers fantasy, what they believe is the shit. This shouldn't be a game where the charachter is already decided. This is like , or purported to be , Elder Scrolls Star Wars. Naturally people got all in a frenzy of fantasy , thinking what they were going to do , how their character was going to be. I for one had already planned a saga with my outlaw and how I was going to go after the Hutts entire line. But i live in a time where No Mans Sky is a better Starfield than Starfield ... Atleast in terms of what Starfield was purported to be and what was actually received. And then theyre STILL adding things that shouldve been there at launch. That will happen with this. Star Wars Outlaws shouldn't even be called that. So you finally play as a Black Woman and its called OUTLAWS and you dont even have true freedom of choice ?

well I’d say based on everything that’s released recently I have a hard time imagining this game won’t be at least a fun jaunt for starved for all the Star Wars-starved gaming fans. Not planning to preorder, but glad that it seems increasingly unlikely this is going to flop. Also for the sake of many a Star Wars-focused content creator, I do hope it’s a success and drives viewership. Seems few have been able to weather this prolonged drought!

Never understood why some fans complain about a main story being too long, I get it when it comes to bloat, side content, but wanting a shorter main quest makes zero sense to me, so they are making games for those that want to finish it all in one sitting? Just in my opinion, this has to be the dumbest arguement Ive heard in gaming, wanting shorter main stories, pushing for games to NOT be 100+ hour main quest, thinking that a 30 hour main quest line is the perfect amount, yet if the story is good, why would you not want more of it, like a movie that ends, but leaves you wanting more...I dont know, probably just me, because there seems to be a reason why its said, why devs chose that amount, must be the golden number or something...

There is no customisation in this game to any degree that matters. You can only upgrade the character by meeting certain people as they give you certain minor abilities. Please don’t mislead people mentioning customisation in the heading as it gives the wrong idea.
