The group learn about their strengths and weaknesses.
In Jumanji:The Next Level, the gang is back (Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan) but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. One side shutting down, including the face, getting confused or randomly weak. The way Eddie's face contorts and the vacant expression, it's a little bit like a stroke (but not that much).

Y'know, I keep hearing they're gonna make a third movie, with the game coming to the real world like the original. If that is the case, I would REALLY like the characters to come out as well with their actual personalities and interact with the kids. I don't know why, but I keep picturing Jack Black's characters as British, which I would LOVE to see. Fridge *really* seems to have it bad when going into Jumanji for the second time as not only is he in a non-badass avatar again but said avatar is also given several more weaknesses and the first one to lose a life. This all seems extrememly unfair until you remember that, at the end of the last film, Fridge was the one who dropped the bowling ball on it to try and destroy it. Makes sense that Jumanji is pissed off with him!

You gotta feel really sorry for Fridge, Jumanji just doesn’t seem to like him. In the real world he's a tall muscular athlete but the two times he's been in Jumanji he's either been shorter or fat. In Welcome to the Jungle his avatar ends up being Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, who not only is Bravestone's(Spencer's avatar) sidekick, which was only ironic being that Spencer & Fridge were former friends at the time, but whose weaknesses include speed, strength, and cake(he explodes when he eats a piece of cake), then he's used as a human landing pad, and pushed out of a helicopter and trampled by albino rhinos. Then in The Next Level he ends up as Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon(originally Bethany's avatar), AKA the map guy, whose weaknesses other than endurance from Welcome to the Jungle now include heat, sun, and sand(i.e. the first level takes place in a desert), and gets blown up by a bazooka, and sprains his ankle then when he becomes Finbar again he has to pretend to be a eunuch to infiltrate Jurgen the Brutal's fortress. Then by the end of the 2nd part he seems to have PTSD from eating cake, being left with cake phobia for the rest of his life since he was so nervous to eat cake in the restaurant at the end of The Next Level. Fridge cannot catch a break lol. I feel like Jumanji has it out for Fridge so bad that it'd find a way to mess with him if he somehow got Bravestone as his avatar.
