THIS is how you do a sequel. I read something about the directors, they said they were not making a remake and it wasn't _really_ a sequel because Alan Parash's story is already finished. They said that this movie was more of a spiritual successor than a sequel. I love how nervous they were to screw it up but, it was really well done. The new ones were, well I hesitate to say they're *as* good as the first one but...if they weren't there they were close. I think when its close its up to the individual.

Actually, the Game Jumanji took the form of, was an early 16bit style arcade-style game... And those were notorious for having awkwardly balanced characters. There were actually Early Videogames that had ridiculously OP Characters that could tank many hits and hit like trucks, followed by Characters that were so hilariously weak that they were borderline unplayable.
