New stress reliever: Adult coloring books

I use to struggle with a lot of Anxiety. I'm now on medication for it. I wanted a simple activity to keep me going and I started with crossword puzzles and advance coloring books. Coloring does reduce a lot of stress for me. I use Prisma pencils and gel pens which makes my coloring comes to life. I turn my music on and color now I'm addicted. 😄

I remember watching a video about this as a teen, (i was an artist and still is), saying how it's childish embarrassing, and satanic to have these as an adult. Ever since at that time, every time I looked at a coloring book I felt such self hatred and shame. Now that I'm grown up, I realize how fucking stupid and harmful that video was to me and i color anyway when i draw. Therefore i also had the idea that drawing is childish too. As I got older, I now have a ton of anxiety and bouts of deppression because of what I used to believe. I am no longer religious and learning to be less self hating. I no longer believe that and I still draw and color til this day. I would love to have these to practice color theory and continue my healing.

I find it helps me with neuropathy I have in my hand I have a huge obsession with coloring I have always enjoyed it sense a child gel pens markers crayons paints if it can be colored I will color it lol .plus it's a great stress relief for me .
