New STRIPER PB 16 LB

Filmed June 2024. Caught fishing the tailraces below Wilson Dam on Pickwick Lake. Lure used is a discontinued Rapala Wakin Minnow and a 5000 Penn Battle II on a Shakespeare Ugly Stick. 30 Lb Power Pro super slick braid down to a 30 lb fluorocarbon leader. In 2014 we caught some that may have been a touch heavier, but this is my PB since i've been strategically fishing for them and actually weighing them. Next year the goal is to get a 20 lb.

Been catching more hybrids than stripe recently. But when you end up getting a stripe it’s a good one.

That's a nice stripe. I live in Florence near Cypress Creek and was wondering if you do a lot of Creek fishing.

@NorthAlabamaAdventures I just started using them recently. They are an excellent creature bait for creeks and ponds. You can get them here locally. I use 8lb mono and small spinning reels for the best creek experience.
