looking into getting a air of desktop speakers and originally wanted the r1280ts but seeing many people with the mr4's I think I've been persuaded to get a white pair. I'd definitely get a set of speaker stands or mount them to the wall though so they are pointed towards your sitting position more though.

I like price to performance edifier speaker; usually they sound good for the price. However, one thig that they cut corners to get the price is their reparability; though it is not specific to the brand; it is often more expensive to repair than to get a new one. For instance based on the look of the back panel; no fuse box on the power line. Design choice but will make (user) reparability much higher.
