If you want to build this filtration system, check out the links in the description. I have a complete list of everything you'll need.

Hi Josh! what size tubing did you use, 3/4"?

Nice! I'm actually purchasing a washout booth, finally and been wondering about a better filtration system than a bucket with some filters in it. This looks perfect for my needs for now. Thanks for sharing!

This is awesome!!!!!! I’m converting my guest bedroom suite into my screen printing suite and I’m going to do exactly this when I take the tub out the bathroom!!! I WILL NOT pay for the filtration system! Thanks so much!

This is great! I work in a sheet metal shop and you’d think they’d encourage an employee discount from a build it yourself standpoint but noooo. Anyways I invested in that Sgreen washout and had the company make a dump sink that had brackets set inside to add the screens and brackets on the side for filter placement and lockable casters for easy transport and mobility. It’s all knockdown construction too so it can be disassembled if I move or need to ship one out for maintenance.

Similar set-up on our end, cheap and efficient. I think you may find that the filter screens might need to be a lower mesh count; it kind of surprised us as to how quickly the ink/emulsion clogs up the screens!

Good tip! I'll keep an eye on that, I have more 110s I dont use anymore so I could switch that out if I need to.

Love this DIY solution! Any chance you could add some links to all the filters and sump pump you bought?
@joshisterrific2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I just added links to everything in the description. I decided to post a different sump pump because I can see replacing the one I originally got. It's ok but it's kinda slow to pump.

Thank you so much this is the best one on KZbin that mimics ryonet’s version

Thanks! After using it for a while I have some updates to it. I want to make a video for that, but the gist of it is adding a few more filters before water gets to the 2 water filters. They tend to clog up easily without those additional steps of filtration.

@@joshisterrific great I hope u can make the video soon!

Also make sure to not put the pump directly at the bottom of the tote bin, put it on top of something else so it won’t pick up all the ink that passes throguht the mesh filters, it will just pick up the water and won’t clog the filters so much

:-0 seems to work pretty fine! i don't know, whats the size of microplastics, it it below 5 micron? anyway, we're already having a credit card per week so, what i actually wanted to ask is, why don't you change the white PVC backpanel of your "sgreen" washing booth with a translucent one and put some led behind it?

It's still going strong, but I had to upgrade to a stronger sump pump. The one in the video broke after just a few months.

Everyone knows that any plumbing job is, on national average, 4 trips to get the right parts. Only using 2 of those trips puts you in the realm of professional plumber. LOL
