KJ is so much more easier to counterplay than Cypher in his current state and as mentioned, the other Sentinels have received some changes to make KJ not as supreme as she wass.

Cypher will still be picked on this map. I doubt they give cypher only “1” tripwire to use from 2. So he shouldn’t have any issues. Unless, they restrict him with activation range like KJ and Chamber. Regardless, cypher mains will adapt. Sunset is still one of his best maps.

You will find that removing the box in the center of the B main opening makes a huge difference, and making the choke smaller also limits the angles you can spam from. this will make counter spamming much easier, and util on the retake more consistent. less places to dodge recons/flashes, etc.

Also as the previous comment stated, removing the box from main is huge cause it makes the spam much more predictable to respam. It's a pretty massive change to the site.

As a cypher main and happy that he is finally viable and being a very good sentinel, as long as they don't remove the feature of trips reactivating after it catches something I think I am fine There is NO way they are decreasing the amount of trips and cages, maybe the size or duration of cages, which would be very bad, but if they revert his trips back... its not a exactly a defense oriented change but a strat change(at least in pro play) since people love to play the post plant B spam. Removing the box in B main reduces angles+ reducing the width of the choke point helps for a less wider angle when you are retaking(eg you molly the right side and whoever's playing there cant run behind that unspammable box). The little spots they added onto the site is to give attackers a place to still play B postplants but without the spam strat

think it step by step, more than just 1 factor. That backsite makes it easier to retake cuz theres less angles. They raised the platform to avoid headglitches from frontsite. You can flash (preferrably omen paranoia) backsite and get it done. Its easier to retake step by step

Honestly, as a Cypher main, these changes will hurt a lot since tons of people will stop picking sentinels all together. Sentinels are being targeted one after the other, getting nerfed, and since maps are being altered so that their setups get affected, it is a bit too unfair.

"nerfing cypher is good for the other sentinels" take a moment to think about that sentence.... you thought about it? yes?... ok so now tell me why the fuck that's suppossed to make sense, why is every character based game going the R6S route of nerfing everyone to make them all equally as bad, i understand that making characters bad would allow them to be less self sufficient thus increasing the need for TEAMPLAY, you know, what you do in a TEAMGAME, however, that implies that i have teammates that even know how to properly play with others or that even communicate with the team, but lets say i do have a good team... making abilities worse and agents worse not only affects their pick rates but also affects other agent's pick rates, barely anyone uses sova in low ranks, but with a "cypher" map this increases because sova is a natural counter to cypher in evey single way... sentinels are already a pain in the ass to play, i thought vyse would be a great addition to the sentinels but she's ass, dog water, useless, to get 1 singular kill you need to use all your abilities, so, in other words, sentinels as of now, kinda suck ngl, KJ is sooo goddam boring to play, sage is just straight up ass, deadlock...well dont get me started on deadlock, these are all agents that are somewhat usefull in defense, but not for attack, so whenever u change sides its like playing a 4v5 instead of a 5v5 because ur sentinel just doesnt work, only 3 work, chamber being the somewhat best one for attack, cypher and KJ are good for post plant but also for lurkers, anyway, coming back to the main point, by nerfing cypher, you accomplish nothing, they all suck at that point, no reason to play sentinels, you might aswell just cover main with a Smoke or something, why? well making them all bad doesnt do any good for the other agents, it just affects the sentinel role as a whole, but not the agents, a better way to make the other agent's pick rates better is to just BUFF (do you know what that is RIOT? i doubt it, cuz that chamber buff was ok but literally changed almost nothing, still nothing compared to what he used to be and what he could be) the other agents, make deadlock's dumb ahh wall something close to a one way mirror maybe? idk im not a game dev, but i know what it feels like use a useless agent, the problem with nerfing and nerfin and nerfing an agent is that u take away the reason to use them and the reason for them to exist, if an agent's abilities are so dogshit you might aswell just take away their abilities and just leave them with guns...o wait.. chamber exists.. huh... ok but by making their abilities less valuable you also make people want to use them less, thus taking away from the WHOLE POINT OF AN ABILITY/OPERATOR/AGENT/CHAMPION/HEROES SHOOTER at that point just call your game CS:CARTOON like why are we nerfing the only reason being a sentinel is fun? why not increase the other sentinels abilities without nerfing others. its just a lose-lose situation here 3-. "fuck cypher" ok pal, i understand you are a duelist who likes to just freely take site and then go to [ALL] chat and say "ez" but guess what? thats not very tactical for a tactical shooter, plus you just shouldnt do that its stupid, SO, as the defenders, having someone who can DEFEND their team, site and themselves from someone like YOU is great, sometimes its nice to use the brain for a second and come up with a counter-play, i mean, duelist are some of the best agents, they have so much flexibility AAAAND so much variety in them, i mean all controller do pretty much the same, and 3 sentinels have a fucking wall, duelists and inciatiors are very cool and nice to play, but mostly duelists, they offer the most variety, i mean ISO HAS A GODDAM DOMAIN EXPANSION, aaaaand a bulletproof wall u can use to bypass the trip safely... so yeah, maybe just use your brains once in a while, why do you all think pro players use KJ more often than cypher? cuz they know how easy it is to bypass cypher, low ranks dont know, cuz they suck, but thats why its ok to have someone like cypher, you make people want to play kayo and sova way more, and learn that its not always good to rush in with no utility..o wait... by making an agent that requires util to bypass... you incentivise TEAMPLAY OMG WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT!! so yeah, dumbass update tbh
