I 100% Completed NSMBU and Luigi U a year or two ago. The review is accurate and the game isn't ground breaking like Mario 3 and World. But it was a challenge to find the secrets and is overall delightful. I don't think comparing it to Celeste or Rayman says anything of importance. Neither of those are Mario. If anyone wants a 2D Mario experience then it is pleasant enough. Honestly, they need to bring Mario 3D World over because that game is amazing!

I loved it! I’m probably going to buy it again (for the Switch this time). Now, if they were going to recycle game music from NSMBWii, NSMB2, and NSMBU, they could have easily decided (for this 1080p remaster) to reuse stage music from past installments. The ghost houses could have used the much improved Super Mario Run rendition. Fortresses could have used the castle theme from Super Mario World or an updated version of the original Super Mario Bros. castle theme (similar to the one on a previous Super Smash Bros title). As for gameplay, I like the Flying Squirrel power-up, but I think most of us agree that the Cape Feather could have been a nice option, an incentive or surprise for those choosing to upgrade from the WiiU to the Switch. You don’t even need a “P” variant if you know what you’re doing. Some missed opportunities here, Nintendo...

In the future, I'm gonna make a comment like this: The nostalgia of waking up on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any random family party, having everyone coming over or going over to their house, and saying hi to all your cousins, aunts, uncles, then taking our food upstairs to our rooms (even though we were not allowed to) while the adults were talking or watching TV, turning on the Switch, taking Super Mario Party out, and putting New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe into your Switch, and seeing file 1 completed, file 2 halfway completed, and file 3 still on world 1 that you started with you, your sister/brother, and your 2 cousins. We also argued on who got to be Mario.

I'm done with all that Mario games. We have Odyssey, Mario V.S Rabbids, Karts, Mario tenis, Mario Party, Toad Treasure and later on a Yoshi and a Luigi Mansion. How much Mario games do they want? I hope maybe there will be a new GTA on the switch and i'm waiting for Animal Crossing :D

Ruby iscute well that's mainly because the Wii U was a major flop and didn't really do well in terms of sales so that's why they pretty much ported the games that DID do well on the Wii U (Splatoon, Mario Maker, Mario Kart etc.) to the Switch because the Switch was doing fantastic so more people were more likely to play it on the Switch rather than the Wii U. It stills seems pretty annoying for people like me who DID get a Wii U a few years back only to get the Switch and see all the games you got for the Wii U ported to the latest console.

Depends I wouldnt mind a Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 or 3d world but another new super Mario brother with no online coop I have to agree with you the thing I hate about new super Mario is it's basically the same as the last game but the original 3 was all different Mario brother 2 was very different from the play stage inspired smb3 but with the whole "new" it's basically hd Mario brother Wii with new level I wanted an evolution the same as smw to smb3 Nintendo too creative to get stagnant with their 2D series I hope the new super Mario brother 3 will be able to craft it's own identity

@Twurterlz true, in my opinion however I think that 3D World should stay exclusive to the Wii U since we already have Odyssey for the Switch. I do believe however that the “deluxe” in the title should’ve came along with Super Mario Maker.
