I remember getting this game back when I was 7 years old. It was also when I first heard of the Koopalings. At the time, Iggy and Ludwig were my favorite, but ever since Mario Kart 8 came out the Koopalings are now playable, as well as most of them having new voices, Larry and Lemmy are now my favorites.

Morton Koopa Jr. feels sad whenever no one wants to talk to him about Spinosaurus! And Ludwig von Koopa feels scared whenever he sees a high place!

I wish the koopalings could have some new unique moves: For example, Larry can have a mirror for manipulating himself. Morton would be able to lift up heavy objects and use any fire weapon for attacking. Iggy can even do a shredder spin, where's if you let him do this for longs he will get dizzy from all the spinning. Which moves do you want for them? I only examples my favorite three right here!

Larry even literally tells Mario stuff like "I'm not going to give my wand up so easily because I don't want to get yelled at by my old man!" (SMB3 Japanese Instruction Booklet) and "If I don't bring back the Big Paint Star, scary Lord Bowser is going to scold me!" (Japanese version of Paper Mario: Color Splash) as well as the fact his Jakks Pacific 2.5 inch figure box states "He always tries to do what Bowser says to avoid being yelled at, but often finds himself distracted by his hungry belly." and yet Mario proceeds to violently fight him instead of offer to protect him if Bowser tries to harm him in anyway. Mario doing is usual stomping and hitting with balls of fire and has even used a giant mallet to hit him, freeze him in blocks of ice, do unique variations of existing methods of abuse (such as bros attacks) as well as using a gun to shoot him in his machine until his machine broke, underwater (Yoshi's Safari). And let me tell ya, water entering your nose is painful as heck. Larry is under a misconception, though. Bowser would be fine with members of his army not working for him anymore as shown in Super Mario RPG, but Larry thinks Bowser's going to yell at him and that he's forced to do the work, even if he doesn't wanna do it. "I ate a lot at the restaurant so I wanted to rest a little more, but since you've caught up to me I guess there's no helping it." ~ Larry Koopa in the Japanese version of Paper Mario: Color Splash. (Of course, it's also worth noting the Koopalings likely stick around because they are orphans, and without Bowser, they'd probably be homeless) Ludwig, Roy and Morton seem to have the most clear respect for Bowser from what I've seen in the games, while Larry and Iggy seem to have the least respect for Bowser. Larry only does what Bowser says because he's scared and even thinks he can get away with slacking off playing video games in Paper Jam as Larry was clearly with Roy and Wendy earlier, since they were expecting him to show up when he didn't, which implies Larry snuck off in the middle of doing the work Bowser ordered (enslave the Toads into collecting Ore for Bowser's flying castle) to play video games instead, and Iggy outright makes fun of Bowser to his face for saying that Junior is a good kid and even shows little faith in Junior post-character development in Bowser Junior's Journey when Morton said "JUNIOR WISE? MORTON NOT KNOW." Iggy replies with "That's insightful, Morton." which implies Iggy doesn't think Junior changed at all and doesn't have any faith in Junior whatsoever. It's worth noting Larry doesn't mention that he's scared of being yelled at when he's around his siblings, likely because he knows some of his siblings, such as Morton, Roy and Ludwig, have a lot of respect for Bowser and is afraid to say it in front of them. In Superstar Saga, he didn't really get much dialogue when interacting, and Captain Goomba gave the order, though he likely didn't skip out because he figured Bowser told Captain Goomba to give the order, so yeah, hahah! (It's worth noting that Larry was still close enough to his siblings (mere rooms away, and definitely knowing he is mere rooms away) rather than completely by himself like in SMB3 or Color Splash) And in Superstar Saga, Larry would have been a little younger (10 ~ 11) than in Paper Jam (12 ~ 13) where he's started to reach an age where he gets more rebellious against things he doesn't wanna do, which would explain him slacking off in both Paper Jam and Color Splash, believing he could get away with it. Of course, it's worth mentioning that the Koopalings all agree Bowser isn't smart as far back as Superstar Saga as seen in Minion Quest, Larry just didn't attempt to use Bowser's lack of intellect to his advantage until Paper Jam.
