It's hilarious seeing some comments underestimate her skill without a proper understanding of it. She remains invisible when she walks back on the trails she left. It'd be difficult to track her in small kiting spots if she kept backtracking on her trail, she'd be invisible until her passive runs out and that gives her plenty of time to contain you. But against hunters like Ann and other hunters who can stun her or have an aoe attack, her skill will definitely be useless.

Some end game ciphers are camped, plenty of times where the survivor is forced to decode another cipher machine despite the last cipher being close to prime or half way finish (45% - 90%), so Faro Lady's skill has some merits to it like the hunter guarding the last cipher that's halfway done. Definitely a Kiting/Decoder type.

So in the end she's just Magician and Prisoner but instead of linking the cipher to a different cipher, she just steals the decoding process. It can be good but in the other hand also bad. It is worth when several ciphers have been started but imagine you decode cipher and suddenly it get's blocked and it loses its cipher progress. It waste so much time. And her invisibility doesn't help much if you can see her traces. Yes, she can fool a Hunter with the fake trail, but I don't think that many players will fall for it.

if she moves inside the trail she recently left, she's still invisible. It's easier to juke the hunter in places with walls. Also you can pretend to be a fake trail. Imagine running towards a pallet and sending a trail somewhere else. You can just keep running towards the pallet because the hunter will think you are the fake trail and follow the other one. It's all about mind games with her. Another trick to try with her is to send a fake trail forward then stand still. There are no other trails being produced, the hunter will surely follow the fake trail and try to hit it. But since you stood still, you can keep running on the fake trail's path and remain invisible. That would really confuse the hell out of them

@@Jen_mejaat least with magician he actually goes invisible for a few seconds and leaves a lil clone copy and has the opportunity to deviate from his regular path, and first officers watch lags behind. There’s no advantage to going invisible without her misdirecting the hunters attention w the bottle. I’d prefer if her trail lagged like first officer which it’d still be fair because saving, vaulting, closing pallets, and probably opening gates will make her leave the anim and it’s a 40s cd.

The main goal isn't to use the invisibility by itself, it's to be smart and try to misdirect the hunter.

Interesting. So another support decoder like prisoner but with magician kiting. She couldve actually had a good practical use if the cipher she’s stealing decoding from was not blocked cus then she couldve kept the decoders working on safe ciphers the whole match, but right now the ability seems pretty niche and only viable if the hunter chairs on top of not fully primmed ciphers. She could be decent against clerk as well in case your randoms decode the last cipher a bit too much, this way the clerk cant actually pop it, but still pretty niche even if clerk was meta.

Her rescue speed is slow to counter her invisibility. How about you try camping a survivor and a trail start running towards you and instantly rescue their team. Most rescuers usually bait a hit out of a hunter before rescuing, with Faro lady it's impossible to predict when she will rescue or not because she's INVISIBLE and the trail won't help the hunter neither if she stands still, you won't see an animation cue so the obvious choice for you is to hit her before she gets to the chair.

I understand why her debuff is extremely relevant. While she's invisible, hunters will have a harder time knowing when she rescues. Edit: After watching Geisha Gaming's gameplay, Faro Lady will be seen rescuing during the animation.

Remember, ANY significant interaction will put her invis on cooldown. It may be worth it to just take a stun if it means a regular chase. This may also include rescues, making her pretty damn balanced. I know leo mains are gonna like facing her cause the lads (hopefully) won't get fooled by invis. Jack mains are gonna profit off her horrible rescue speed, making more consistent double hits, overall a well designed survivor that isn't complete bs but not useless. The decoding thing though.... idk. I can see it being useful though. Tapping every cipher you come across then saving those ciphers to siphon them for the buff. Maybe the instant 10% should decay after a bit? I am going to hate her though. (I main wheel.) But I do have Joker at my disposal, if it means more consistent instant hits. Edit: i've just realized that any hunter with a straight shot attack or ability can figure out which trail is fake by simply shooting it and seeing if it effects evelyn or not.

He just isn't thr best character to mention with the likes of Sangria or Ithaqua since they can do well/dominate in high tiers and tournaments, while Norton is just alright in them. Would be better to include Ivy who is comparable to Sangria in terms of strength
