It's certainly a lovely torque rich engine, as I found on a test ride of the 8S. I'll wait until Suzuki bring out a more road-focused version with cast wheels, tubeless tyres and a 19" front wheel before I trade up from my trusty DL650. You could probably count the number of UK owners taking this bike off road on one hand, so the 21" front wheel, spokes and tubed tyres seem a bit pointless to me. Hey ho!

Agree 100%, no one is taking this thing off road and a cast wheel model is good on gravel roads etc. Add cruise control and 17-19 cast tubeless wheels and a bigger windscreen and they'll sell like hot cakes.
