Something you failed to realize, Deimos didn’t fund his own equipment, it was all stolen from Nighthaven. Also, Deimos is likely a former Rainbow operative from back when Aurelia was in charge and before team rainbow was deactivated.

Annika Lofquist was a Swedish operator available in older rainbow games and in rainbow six lockdown Her speciality was Electronics May be she is that operator and Sam contacted her for the help... As people say "once a Soldier, Always a soldier" Edit - i have another theory, Sledge got injured by the bomb planted by Demios then may be Thatcher Contacted Eddie Price who is also a Former Rainbow and SAS operative and he sent Annika Lofquist for the help because both worked together in previous operations After Kaid and sam, Thatcher is the oldest operator of team rainbow, soo may be Thatcher got trained under price and know eachother.

Deimos might’ve been an operator in Rainbow from back in the R6 Vegas days. Then he’s dismissed for some reason and is taken in by Walker and his Wolves for a bit (hence the look) and is inspired by Walker taking revenge on his former employers to take on Team Rainbow

The second I saw it was new Op for next season I raced to the Wiki to see if there was only living Swedish Operators from old Rainbow. (Pre the programs activation in Siege) Aaand there actually is! Annika Lofquist from Rainbow Six (1), (2)Rogue Spear, 3 Raven Shield, and Lockdown. Her Wiki page is very light, but if Deimos is actually a member from Rainbow years past, I would make a decent bet on it. Wouldn't be the first time a pre-Siege member of Rainbow showed up either. In the sketches for when Glaz got his Thermal Scope upgrade in the Mid-Season Reinforcements of Velvet shell, a Greek Op called Kure Galanos was pictured beside him. She also showed up in Rogue Spear and Raven Shield.

People keep mentioning Annika Lofquist, who makes a lot of sense since she's a game character (Ubisoft has the rights only for game characters after Clancy died). Still, there was another Swedish character attached to Rainbow. Lars Gummesson, who in the book Locked On, was the director of Rainbow before being briefly replaced by John Clark, and closing down Rainbow.

My theory is that it's James Wolfe. It could make some sense seeing as Wolfe was said to not care much about ethics, which this guy doesn't seem to either, after (possibly) killing rp ops/agents, killing harry himself and utting ash into a coma and Wolfe's unit for Rainbow was essentially taken over by Aurelia and later Harry due to the reactivation.

I think your theory of Deimos was left behind and he is mad doesn't make much sense. Its a cool theory and may as well be true but it doesn't align with his goals. He thinks Rainbow are weak and they cannot leave someone behind to complete the mission and when brava hesitates to shoot him it's as if he laughed at that. And him being mad because they left him behind would want him to make team Rainbow stay together and carry about the team more I think

It would be excellent if they tied a story in with the game and had operators unavailable for selection for periods of time while they’re “out injured”. We’ve got that many operators available now even if they only did it in casual matches it would allow people to change the meta and take part in the lore.
