Swaxe looking pretty sweet so far. Though I wish they’d add a flashy move or two for axe mode which maybe would use up the amped energy you get using the sword. On my first run through MHW atm, just got to guiding lands and have used swaxe mostly and I spend 80% + time in axe mode 😅

that new combo finisher, spiral burst slash, is SO flashy though!

@ oh I agree! I just want something like if you’re fully amped then the axe heavy slam attack has an explosion follow up move or just has an explosion added to it or something like that. Monke brain need axe go BOOM!

I enjoyed the Switch Axe during the Beta. It was fun and felt good when I pulled off focus mode moves. I'm heavily considering it for tail chopping once Wilds releases.

As much as I like the swiggity swooty switcharooni of Axe-Sword combos, i still see that sword mode will overshadow the axe mode in terms of optimal damage. Saying this as a guy who only plays the Axe mode of SA 😅

Sword mode is supposed to be the higher damage mode though, that’s the idea haha

I have used Swaxe during the beta, and I landed the Offset Rising Slash once! Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out the Unbridled Slash or Full Release Slash before this video... Regardless, I'm excited for this weapon in Wilds!
