New! Tarte Confessions of a Maneater Palette: swatches/comparisons/full review

Hey, it's Mo! ☘️ I’ve heard very little about the new Tarte Confessions of a Maneater palette, so I thought I’d give it a go and review it for you. There’s also a very interesting comparison to the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette at the end. Enjoy!💕

This colours remind of the Charlotte Tilsbury .. golden glowing goddess theme

What you can do is just drop the blush down a tad just under the cheekbone over the bronzer then highlight along cheekbones to temple to draw away from being too close to eyes

I just bought tarte for the very first time ! I bought the blooming beauties cheek set and the tease mini palette if i like them ..I have mature skin I hope to get a warm palette as I'm more of a ginger with blue eyes

If these are your go to eyeshadow colors or you even prefer more pink/mauve tones, you should definitely try Colourpop’s making mauves palette. It even has a similar shade to that berry shimmer you complimented in this palette

Hi Alex! Thank you for the recommendation. I just got the Making Mauves palette last week-I’d ordered it just before Colourpop closed down, so it took a couple months to get here. I haven’t dipped my brush in it yet, but it looks really pretty!

I got this on Ulta when it came out and love it too!!! I've always been on the fence about getting their Maneater palette, and I'm so glad I waited. This one is more my thing. It was fun to see your opinions about it and the comparisons!

Hi girl!!! Thanks for ur video. Still quarentine and working! I've bought some things...I have the same undereye as you and I enjoy PTR products...I found the instant firm eye...it's just preparation H for the eye area. I tried it and I'm enjoying it. It only lasts for 4 or 5 hours, but it tightens and lightens. It was expensive, for me, but when I will eventually go out, I'm gonna use it!!!! Just wanted to share because I love all of your recommendations!!

Shoot, you had me convinced to buy this, but you are much fairer than myself, I'm sort of light olive neutral leaning in skin tone, so I don't think this will really work out for me? 🤔 I'm still not sure whether to bite the bullet because the swatched looked so attractive on you! 😭 the other you tuber, Serenita Chiquita has a similar tone to me but maybe 2 shades darker than me, and some of the colors disappear on her! My face is pretty light but my arms are very very tan lol! I can't seem to get then to lighten up to match the rest of me even with this shelter at home business lol! Thank you for the comparison to the CT palette as well, very helpful! I think Catrice has a new palette that can dupe this Tarte one, it is much bigger and has more colors called Made for Stars. I think a similar look could be created, it has very pretty shimmers and duochromes shades, I'm so tempted to pick it up as well, Lord help me, I can't stop buying eyeshadow palettes and there are no store open for returns, I think I'm in big big trouble! 😅😂

Hi, Anna! I wish I could be more helpful in letting you know if these shades would show up well on you. I did notice this is on sale right now at Ulta if that makes any difference. I’m not familiar with that Catrice palette, but your description sounds very nice-perhaps I’ll look into that one. Let me know if you get the Maneater palette, I’d love to know if the colors worked for you. Thank you!

@@motildamulgrew I took the chance and bought it, but yeah, it was way more pink leaning on the photos on ULTAs website! I was a bit disappointed really and I was going to return it but I fell in love with the blush topper/highlight shade. It such a pretty ethereal peachy color, I don't even know how to describe it?

Hey Mo! 👋 I have bought several items thanks to your videos & trustworthy opinion and I’m so so happy with all of them! Yay! 😀 Tks! The blush and highlighter looks really pretty. I haven’t tried tarte eyeshadows in a long time. Some years ago I got an eyeshadow palette with like 5 or 6 shades, and all the shiny ones looked the same on my eyes though they were different on the pan, so I was annoyed 😒 and kind of forgot about their eyeshadows. But i do like their blushes and highlighters! Maybe I should give the brand another chance lol 😂. That’s a good everyday and travel palette!

Hey Mo! Good to see you! I passed on this because it I had a feeling they were making it look more pink/mauve than it would look in real life. I did find the CT comparison interesting. Speaking of "unpopular opinions", I broke my "No Spend" to snag the new Jeffree Star Cremated palette. I love grays and taupes so I'm really looking forward to getting it. I've always wanted to try his formula but his neutrals have always been more warm leaning & I don't do too many of the bright and/or neon colors he is known for. Have a great weekend!

I also did a review on this palette, I agree that the blush and the highlighter are both very subtle colors and I also loved that they added that shimmer red and the chocolate brown shades, those two made all the difference in this palette. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 new subscriber 🤗🤗👍🏽👍🏽
