Liking some of these GP models more than others, but I do think Taylor has nailed a sweet spot. I really like how it sounds strummed and also like the clarity of the single note leads.... It's not easy for a builder to find that balance.

Technique can be used to "tone down" too much bottom, but you can't add it if it ain't there. I've heard these strummed hard and it's not a strength. Nice guitars but Ill stick with my D18 and my J45.

It looks like Taylor intends many of their guitars for use in a band where the bass will be provided by a bass. It's a less extreme version of the old Ovation guitar which also had a very high sound. It's strange that they have produced far fewer large guitars at this price point; the Grand Symphony and Orchestra types are only available in the 600 series upwards.

I am not sure if it is simply the selection of play but I am not hearing much low end to the guitar. It's resonance is wonderful mid and treble but I'm not hearing the lower end range balance.

Hello. Does the guitar needs an adjustment to play in open D?. All my songs are in open D, and DGDF#AD too. Or will it be enough, keeping the guitar in the case tuned standard E, and retuned open D only when practising and gigging? Thank you
