"Disguise never fool good players" *disguises as something more than obvious slow scout for all match* "oh god i get it"

At the moment, there are 11 videos of Spy Psychology. And it doesn't look like the end of the series, so more should show up in the future.

That's awesome!

valve tried patching out the disguise bugs and as a result they're much more rare but i wouldn't be surprised if it still happens at least once per casual game

7:38 Yes these are still in the game and sadly with Valve not updating the game outside of holiday events these are still an issue. So like he said, just get used to it sadly. 18:10 unfortunately most spies that use the dead ringer will choose scout over and over again making them VERY predictable. This is the video I started off with for Jontohil2 and I'm glad I watched it.

I’m so glad you’re watching this video of all things, people underestimate disguises too much

After seeing this, I can see why!

Glad you got to learn more nuances of the spy, even if you can't absorb it all at once lol. Been playing spy myself last night, and while all disguises have its place, i find these two classes to be the most useful disguises and my go to: Sniper: The least conspicuous person to be almost at anywhere. He can be at the frontlines, seen trying to snipe aggressively, so to sell the act you have to look at where your enemy team is looking or looking to your own team, and move around then stand still to imitate scoping. Frontline is a good place to stab because your team will hog the enemy's attention. If at the backlines where dispensers and engies are, you again have to look where your own team are, but stand STILL and sometimes crouch to pretend you are scoping your own team (the enemy's ENEMY team). There are less and even none teammates, so you should stand patiently to wait for opportunities to stab an enemy. If an enemy found you out, it's best to cloak and RUN. You only have yourself to save you. If you are behind lines, make yourself seen running to the frontlines/backlines, by just pressing W and walking forward to the objective. You can fool players easily because they will think you are walking towards the same place as them but securing the stab is a bit harder. If a demo or a soldier blasts jumps away, you let go, but it is very easy to stab them otherwise. DO NOT LOOK STRAIGHT AT THEM. Instead walk forward a bit, then when they are near you or about to overtake you, press the S key and backpedal quickly to stab behind them. Or you could mask looking at them by positioning yourself to look at the frontlines at the same time. Like on the Upwards cliff 2nd point where there is only 2 entryway to the upper mountain. If a class is faster than you like a scout and medic, but harder to stab them. You might want to follow them into the front or backlines where they stop moving forward. NOTE: as explained by Jontohil, the behind lines are where people has nothing to do, so if they are shooting to spycheck you or trying to hit you with melee, it is not worth trying to blend in, just cloak and run. Engineer: Very good to blend in with buildings. How? Just equip your melee, press B to imitate holding the wrench, crouch near a building, and voila! You are an engineer. Even works when disguising as pro engineers because they also just crouch when hitting their buildings. The USE however is versatile and what you have to play around. A lotta enemies now believe you are an engineer in your nest. What do you do? Stab the medic and get found out by the sentry and maybe other players? Get out of sentry range and risk being found out but you can stab without getting shot by the sentry? Oh what about another engineer in the nest, or even the engie YOU are disguising as? Stab and sap his stuff? Or wait longer to find better opportunities like when your team pushes with an uber? Or even go away and all the way back into the enemy spawn and crouch near their tele in spawn, pretending to upgrade them and sap them when nobody's around or stab players right outside their spawn? Those are all real applications of this disguise btw, just played spy last night and did all of them at least once, suit yourself the action you need the most.

my go to tends to be soldier, pyro, demo, and medic, as those 4 will tend to blend right into any random group of players, although i don't tend to use the medic disguise as much as the other three

Spy is a class Ive always 'hated' so I refuse to play. That being said even if you dont play or like a class understanding how they play and think is so valuable when you are fighting against them. Enjoying this series:)

Jonto has around 700-900 hours on spy, but I wouldn't say he is the best at spy. Though his videos are the most interesting to watch.
