LOL your bail section at the end looks like my highlight reel haha I'm just a simple basher. Like I've mentioned prior glad to have you back dude! Man would it be cool to see Tekno's take on a basher. I know there is the MT410 but that's pretty short for a basher these days. LWB and especially XLWB are where it's at. plus it's dated as well. IDK, Arrma should be dropping their new EXB lineup shortly. At least that's what I keep telling myself haha "Are youCrazy?!?"

that's looking like a great 4wd sct truck. just subbed after watching the past 2 videos on it. excellent videos with valued input so thanks bro. side note- it appears to be jumping and landing nicely but driving outside of that, it appears shocks are too stiff IMO. it's hopping around too much
@TheRCNetwork Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the sub! One of the reasons I paused making videos the last two years were pretty much all of my local tracks shut down (WCRC, LRH and OCRC) - I'm in Orange County, CA. This little Oakley track isn't maintained and when I got here was all blown out. Massive holes everywhere and many of the jump lips were toast...which makes for a great durability montage.....but not the best racing footage. 90% of the hopping around is the track

Building one right now. I noticed that almost the end of your video you were showing all the tumble Wambles. Does that mean that this truck is unstable and always just wants to land on his back?
@TheRCNetwork8 ай бұрын
Not at all - the track was really blown out and many of the jump faces were destroyed. I tried to hit sections of the jumps that were still intact, but to the right of where I was standing and right in front of, it was bad. The SCT 2.0 drives really stable and probably the best SCT to date

Hey Rich, long time viewer of your videos, particularly the build overviews. A quick question: in your honest opinion, your thoughts on the 410 2.0 vs the 410.3. i have the .3 and from the looking at the manuals and research I've done, it just seems to be built a little more heavy duty compared to the 2.0 such as the bigger shocks. Also I'd rather have a sliding motormount. Additionally, i wonder if the rather narrow chassis body of the .3 allows for less parachuting. Just curious to see what you think. Thanks.
@TheRCNetwork6 ай бұрын
IMO, the SCT410 2.0 drives better than the SCT410.3. Durability wise the .3 has the advantage along with the motor mount. So, it's a trade off. There are mods out there to fit the EB48 2.X motor mount to the SCT410 2.0 though - it will require moving the side guard and possibly the chassis plate to make it work. According to Tekno, they did extensive testing on the 13mm vs 17mm shocks on the SCT and it came down to the team liking the 13mm and how tunable those were for slightly lighter vehicles. I always preferred the 17mm shocks though - which is something that can be modded easily as well - but you will have to tune it. As for parachute effect - all SCT's suffer. The .3 probably had it worse IF you didn't use the plexi sideboards. I think the SCT410 2.0 did well with the parachute effect, but I did cut out quite a bit of the rear of the body.

@swissfreek10 ай бұрын
I know you say this track is in rough shape, but did you ever figure out/do anything to settle the rear end on jumps? My SCT's rear end pops up like crazy on every single jump unless I hold full throttle all the way through. Tried going up a little on the rear shock oil weight, didn't seem to do anything. Increasing ride height seems to mayyyybe help a little? Curious if you have the same experience and have some tuning tips. Thanks!
@TheRCNetwork10 ай бұрын
Like I mentioned in many of the comments of this video, the track was severely blown out and many of the jumps have not been maintained - they almost have a "BMX" style jump face, so matter how you hit it, you're doomed. You'll notice that on the far right jump, I always headed to the far outside to try and get a good launch. Hitting anywhere in the middle donkey kicked the truck. Same with the one in front of where I was standing - I had to go hard inside to get a good face. The truck is incredibly stable as you can see for the remainder of the jumps (that had a good jump face). As for taming a truck that goes nose down, it's all about that rear shock package. Usually it's the preload/oil/spring rate in that order to start fixing. My truck in this video was 100% box stock set up including preload. I always film my first runs that way.

Nope, I wasn't invited to review the MT410 2.0......probably because I was the only one to criticize the SCT410 2.0's motor mount. Plus, the MT410 2.0 isn't anything close to what the original MT410 was...it's smaller, no real 1/8th scale components, 12mm hex and has that same motor mount.
