Instead of releasing a new instrument cluster every month, hanshaw should actually support the instrument clusters already released. OTA updates are still not working on my cluster, even though it is supposed to be supported. if you are going to continually review and recommend their products ( and obtain a commission) you should at least hold them to account regarding their lack of software support.....

The OTA update actually works. I was able to do an update recently. When you select "Update" in the settings menu, you'll get a screen indicating to what you need to change your router SSID or Hotspot name and password. Once you do this, restart the screen and it will connect. Then you can download and install the latest update.

@fwangfj1 yes - it is extremely difficult for Intel version (tedious indeed !!). I was eventually able to reach and remove the connector using two long flat head screwdrivers, one to keep the locking tang pressed in the release position, the other to simultaneously pry up the edge of the male connector from the female housing. Reconnecting with the new harness end was easy by comparison.

Thanks for the excellent review. I think an audio alert for the blind spot warning should be also added apart from the visual alert so that you don't have to look at screen to see if you have a car in your blind spot. That's how the current blind spot in ICE vehicles work where an LED comes on when there is a car in your blind spot and it gives a sound alert when you actually give a signal for changing lanes when a car is present. It has helped me more than once.

Great video as usual. I purchased this product following this video. I installed the F9 on my 2023 M3LR. I installed it 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly until 8 days ago when something strange happened to the device: every time I get out of the car, the settings I set reset themselves, and when I get in the car I have to configure them again every time, which until now was useless (I'm talking here about color, time, theme , brightness, front camera is off). So I have a question: what should I do to stop having this inconvenience? I should point out that I played with the settings all day and they wouldn't save at all. I also tried hotspot-update-download but nothing happened. I understood that these things are solved with an update. I have tried to contact your Hansshow seller by sending several emails but have not received any response. Thank you very much.

Great video, thanks for the amount of work you have put into this. I've bought this screen on the basis of your review, so thank you. The only thing you did not show was what Carplay in split-screen mode looked like, otherwise great work! UPDATE - Having installed this screen, there is only one thing missing from this review - if you have the regular steering wheel, not a yoke, it can be an issue for the wheel to obstruct some of the screen, depending on your seating position. Worth mentioning, and something one of the slightly smaller screens (or one that mounts on the steering column) would eliminate.

It's great that they took my suggestion on connecting the bluetooth directly to Tesla instead of a passthrough through the screen on the previous from TMA you reviewed and implemented with this one.. It remove any sort of delays with the audio and the delays/echos with the phone calls. Too bad they didn't get rid of the brakes warning light on there when the brake lights are on since it shouldn't be on at all unless there's an issue.

I like your explanation and how you actually do the installation in detail, even down to the unplugging of the plugs/clips. Those details help, which is impressive. Other videos skip those simple tasks which is so sad. So this makes it easier for a newbie like myself to be confident enough to unclip and do the installs with the wiring elc. I actually just bought this unit using your code. Yeah, good point on the UI design. Maybe if the manufacturers offer the ability to let owners redesign or theme the UI or customize ourselves then upload with sd card or usb, that might be helpful too. Great work on the videos and keep it up.

I wanted to add my perspective to this equipment as well because I purchased this screen based off this and a few other videos. This screen is probably my biggest "buyers remorse" purchase of the year. I was looking to add Android Auto back to my car since the Tesla infotainment system is severely lacking in a bunch of areas. Based off this video this hit all the marks so I bought it. Let me start off by saying Android Auto is unusable to me on this screen. Using the steering wheel controls to navigate is broken AT BEST. Scrolling with the thumb track on the wheel jumps the cursor all over the place and is unpredictable. You pretty much HAVE TO use it as a touch screen and I don't know about you but I really dont want to be reaching over my steering wheel while driving to touch another screen. Second the airflow is OK its not great, I like to ride with my wheel high and the vents are so low that you have to lower your wheel pretty much to its lowest setting. Installation was fine not hard at all although I skipped the front camera and just went with the screen wiring. Remember this is MY experience and my family are all Android users so we never tried CarPlay so your milage may vary. I just wanted to put in my two cents and hopefully prevent someone from making the same mistake purchase that I did.

The Blind Spot Monitor only operates when turn signal is ON. Other cars have the BSM always activated so you can detect a car in the blind spot without the turn signal activated. If you need to change lanes quickly because something is laying in your lane, you can quickly make sure you can change without hitting someone in your blind spot. Teslogic V2 has this, The info seems to be available on the CANBUS. This unil only displays BSM when turn signal is on. I like the other features of this

The one with Android system will be available from a site in March. 2) what does the version with Android system have in addition? Simply that it can also work as a normal mobile phone with Google Store etc etc as long as you insert a SIM from a mobile operator? 3) is it possible to screen mirror all the apps from the mobile phone to the F9 C?

Great review Shiva. The F9 comes very close to satisfying my need for improvement of my 1-year old 10.25" carplay unit that lacks some of the features of the F9. I share your frustrations about Hansshow's reluctance to provide UI improvements via software upgrades. They are obviously more focused on selling products than supporting them. My biggest concern about the F9 is how poorly it fits on the dash cap. It isn't obvious why there has to be a gap between the bottom of the unit and surface of the dash. It looks unfinished. Also, why have an analog speedometer that goes to 260 mph? Half the dial is unused and wasted space. Do you know if the camera that came with my 10.25" unit is compatible with the F9? It would be nice not to have to re-install a camera. Glad they finally figured out a simple power source solution. Keep up the good work.

@ShivaSapkota 10 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for your support and your feedback. I agree, this does feel like an upgrade to the 10.25" version. However, as you said, I wish they would just push the same UI and feature updates to all these displays sold over the years. I don't understand why they don't work on the same software architecture so they can mass update these displays they sell. The blind spot detection is a perfect example. They read specific codes from the Tesla OBD and they map it into these displays, I would think it would be easy for them to just push the updates to everyone. I will pass along all your feedback to Hansshow and hope to see some action from them.

@@ShivaSapkota I agree. Its crazy to me that after all this time, they would get enough feedback reporting the same problems that show up on initial release where you would think that they would just permanently remove UI appearance that just dont appeal to anyone. I agree there is no zero reason to have the speedometer go to 260 mph when that is not even achievable. It should go to max 165 or 170 mph which is enough to accommodate even the Model 3 top speed. Just curious, did you send your feedback to Hansshow like you typically do when you review new displays?

Great video as always Shiva, this is probably the first display I really want, it seems to have covered everything, I agree totally about the UI though, its so easy just to use the correct fonts etc, it seems lazy that they just don't do that. Apart from improving the UI the only other suggestion I have is the colour of the silver housing that sits on the dash, if it was the darker grey to match the silver/grey dash it would look less like an add on and look more standard (or is it the same colour, it is hard to tell in the video?)

Very nice video, especially with the camera installation. I've had my MYLR for just 6 weeks and want to add a screen but didn't because of the air vents as well the non standard software\UI. I do like the airflow on this one, but I think my OCD would cause me to get annoyed with it not being lined up straight on the dash. Also, I noticed in your video that English is NOT the main language on the screen and at times will flash back to Mandarin (or whatever else it was). @kenjohns8245

I've seen numerous concerns about the display not being aligned properly with the dash. Because the dash curves in on the left side, the screen will not be parallel with the front edge of the dash if the screen is facing the driver properly. All screens are like this. I think this explains why it won't yet work on RHD cars, as they likely haven't made the version with the correct opposite mounting angle for RHD cars yet. I agree with TheMELTDOWN911 comments that a column mount 6.86" screen with the same features as the H9 would be preferable for me, as it looks more integrated with the car. I've never found lack of air flow to be a concern for me with my 10.25" 4G unit, and would rather give up air flow for a more integrated installation on the column.

This is my first time watching one of your videos and enjoyed it more than another video I saw on the same product. I like the details that you go into, including the old vs. the new model cars. I’m not really looking for a center console, but a way to do car play. The center console displays seem to fill that need. I’m a little confused by the Bluetooth integration. Is there a way you can demo that? Based on the comments about support and updates from Hanshow, makes me reluctant to purchase one of their products. My only other comment was to add an additional light to use in those dark places.

Also, can you ask if they can create a better Power/Regen gauge; perhaps integrate it into the speedo or HP gauges? As always, go THRU the grommet not around it. It's there for a reason. Keep up the good work informing us of the latest accessories for Teslas.

Great screen and amazing way to get the airflow through. But they just can't seem to give us better graphics tire pressure should be optional, and seeing the car between the lane is not necessary as it doesn't show any other vehicles. I'm sticking with the screen you haven't reviewed yet, the one that uses 3M on the dashboard, no gimmick graphics. Thanks for the review I was waiting to see it on your channel.

Thank you my friend. Yeah these companies don't seem to understand our comments about the graphics/UI. I actually have that screen you are referring to (one that uses 3M) but haven't had a chance to open the box yet. I will test it within the next few weeks. I am glad to hear is working out well for you.

Thanks. I watched a lot of video's of different producers, but i had the most profit by your videos. Excellent cam quality, very good explanation. It helped me to make a decision of which instrument cluster to buy. I choose the 9 inch with air vents from hansshow. The hard thing wil be how to route the cam cable through the firewall as I havent yet looked under the hood😬

Thank you so much for your support. It really means a lot to me. With a fishing cable and some patience, it shouldn't be too bad. The visibility gets harder in the firewall space, so I would get a flash light. Please reach out if I can answer any questions or help in any ways.

@@ShivaSapkota Hi, i haven't started yet as i have not yet all i ordered at home. A question related to the cam cable routing. I believe I saw on your video very briefly (at 17:05) that you took off the trim below the glove cabinet. Is that necessary to get the fishing cable through till that point?

Thanks for the great review. Hanshow is getting better with parts of their design, but ignoring their customers. I equate Hanshow with a 1968 VW. I can add fins, larger rear wheels, chrome exhaust, tinted windows and pink fluorescent fluffy dice. But the interior is the same, that’s lame. I am not going to purchase a unit then find out I am stuck with software that can’t be updated. Is that correct? Shiva, I appreciate the hard work you do producing these videos and the knowledgeable approach you take. Looking forward to the next video.

Thank you very much for your kind words and support. It means a lot to me. As I shared my frustration in the video, they keep pushing out new displays with new updates but leave out customers who purchased and supported them with the early displays. I am putting a lot of pressure on Hansshow to seriously start supporting the older displays (at least with software updates).

Yeah that is a bummer. I mention this around 44:00. The workaround is to connect your phone to both Tesla and this device. That allows you to use Android Auto/Carplay visuals in this screen but audio coming out from Tesla's speakers. Thank you so much for your feedback.

I have had the Hansshow 10.25" 4G screen for almost a year, and use it extensively to listen to my favorite podcasts on car play. I love the convenience to select podcasts, fast forward, etc. using the steering wheel controls. BTW, even if it were possible, I'd hate to think that other drivers were watching youTube while driving.

Please convince hanshow that the best of ALL these displays is the F68 6.86", is the one that looks more OEM and the right size, I started with the 4.6" mini display, then replaced for the 5.16" now I have the F68 6.86" WHICH IS THE PERFECT SIZE and is mounted on the steering column so it looks OEM, They just need to find a way to modify the steering column cover to let some air flow thru, I would never buy the new F9 is too big and looks all out of alignment with the dashboard it looks really cheesy, that is the reason @salvatoreamato3916 is asking look how bad looks at minute 36:15 ALSO many of us already have the ambient light strip inside the AC vent so this screen will block the illumination

Thank you very much. This natively doesn't play through Tesla's speakers but you can keep your phone connected to Tesla's Bluetooth so all the audio will come out directly from your phone to Tesla but the visuals (e.g. Carplay) goes to this screen. However, someone told me earlier that Android auto doesn't support different audio output but I tested with Carplay and it worked. So, if you have an Android phone you may just have to use the built-in speaker unfortunately.

I know that this model is not designed for Tesla model 3 Highland. Unlike the F62, that I'm thinking of buying, I'll see if the screen size suits me (6.2")... However I noticed that the display is not showing the correct battery charge % near the lower part of the screen. It is displaying %99 continuously irregardless or the actual tesla battery charge level. The estimated driving miles to go is correct but not the % of battery charge. Any ideas what's going on?
