El Cid Campeador Well not all evolution is bad. Of course apes becoming men or fish becoming birds is nonsense but a kind of bird evolving a better more capable beak isn’t against the teachings of the church. It’s not really evolution in a sense.

Sheen: " all Evolution tends to Him". Sheen was a faithful son of the Church who knew "spiritual evolution" did not alter revelation as it was handed on from Jesus to the Apostles, and from the Apostles to us. The Church has the Holy Spirit as Her protector and guide. Spiritual evolution merely means a broader understanding of what is known already. Dogma is established when a significant amount of controversy arises and needs clarification but not alteration..
