the sad part is that the final transistors are not usually covered in the warranty. So if they blow up, the client will have to pay to fix the box.

Mr.BBI I would like to know if you have tried NTE replacement parts I have had good luck with them over the past 20 years the 2SC2879 comes out to a NTE470 I would like to see the comparison they go for about 76.0 dollars a far cry from $ 250 plus Thank you fro what you do Mr. BBI keep up the good work dude

I'm fortunate enough to still have a fully functioning 667, 667v, do 600 dx500 with real Toshiba pills. The 667v is never been tweeked or touched other than bulbs and its 20 years old or more..

When I spoke with the warranty repair tech @ galaxy a few years ago which he turned out to be the nephew of the owner of galaxy and texas star and the originator of Palomar , he the tech, told me they had several several Toshiba transistors for repair and use. He said enough to last a while and this was back in 2017. So I’m sure those guys put back quite a bit but that don’t mean they aren’t all used up like you said.

Another great viJeyo from the great one. My ham club gave to me an Ameritron als 500m, they said I could try it to see if it works, I had to put a new ground wire from the power max 100a supply to the Ameritron plug, I have 14v, what should I see or hear when I turn the amp on? The red light on the amp switch doesn't light up. The amp is the old one without the control I/O. The inside of the amp looks pristine and belonged to a silent key.

Not surprised AT ALL. They still under build the power delivery and cooling too. I'll never buy a new mass produced amp. Better off buying a 50 year old amp and waiting a year for BBI to CHOOCH it. With everything the world knows about these amps and the current they require to run WELL, the fact that the factory lets em walk away with undersized power leads AMAZES me. Between that and the undersized fans and heatsinks, knockoff pills shouldn't surprise ANYONE at this point. There's a reason guys like BBI stay busy.

I see the mounting tabs on the real Toshiba pills are straight across by the mounting tabs and the fake ones are curved following the curve of the top of the transistor I guess I'm lucky on the Texas star dx500 I picked up a few days ago they are the real deal I picked this amp for 250

I wish I'd seen this video a month ago... Just bought a new 667v from Coppers Elec in KY.. It only does 300watts and they won't stand behind it.!!! I sent it to CA (Galaxy Repair ) and getting the run around there now........ $550 for amp and shipping so far and over a month waiting............ I wish I'd never seen this Amp or POS Coppers Elec....

I've had a lot of luck with Mechman a lot of luck and taking into account are the only ones out there it's got like a 550 amp for a 850 amp cold alternator in the market...

@@BoxBuilderIdaho i know you guys use alot of power but our car audio setups have sometimes a electric buss lithium battery with 4-5 alts lol , we also care very much about CLEAN power which im sure same applies for this stuff , if not even more so for you . we have tested many many brands extensively in audio and yes mechman is good , singer is above and beyond when you want the cleanest power , custom electric service is decent ... there are a ton of builders but those are the only 3 id really consider . i own a mechman 370a for my ram which does more than 370a but i have to be higher rpm and does poor at idle , my tahoe has singer 320's quad alt bracket they make power very low rpm and dont gain much with higher rpm , around 2000-2500rpm making peak and does over rated 320a , the alternators design is far better for ''noise'' with the smaller 320's . ive personally had just about every major brand of alternator out there . be worth giving a singer a shot and see what you think

You really need to watch my video call tips and tricks on the install you'll see my truck that I have with my little car stereo system in it it only pulls 1000 amps at idle.. that's right baby crown a6000gti.. It only makes 25000 Watts RMS that's just on one channel I have two a stereo system. That is just short of a hundred thousand watts and that's just on the subs have a good one.. Pioneer Premier is pretty damn good at least it was back in the day..

Well I am gonna use some names I bought brand new 2 years ago from the local cb shop he just got it in when I was there a Tech to start 667 I always wanted one and so I bought it get it home doesn't even do 300 watch throw zesta br's 3 plus take it back to the shop he tries it same thing he sends it back send it to Mike Hawkins the weed guy he complained that the family has their kids and all running the thing and that they're doing crap well Anyway he claims it works fine since it back she'll be shot gives it to me take it home still same thing won't even do 300 watch take the car off what's it got DEI's in it I had to send it back talk to Mike Hawkins personally he says it works as new as it should but they did change the variable power knob on it said he put an old style on where they do have the new styles he sends it back to me with a note saying try 1' jumpers or 2' jumpers that makes us debt yours go higher what's he talking about anyway it still didn't work won't do 300 watch has SWRS of 3 and 3 plus I called my cock and's back and I told him I spent all this money on this so excited to get it and it's garbage and it's been sitting on the shelf for 2 years I can't sell it to anybody because who wants a piece of junk and I can't use it because Because it doesn't even do 300 watch an SW r's plus 3 it's junk and I told him that and they didn't offer anything about it I would never recommend Texas Star never ever ever ever
