I am a slow swinging senior and have been who has playing AVX the last four years. Great ball if you want a softer feeling tour ball. Like you I haven’t seen the lower ball flight.

Hi Luke, new subscriber here. I don’t swing quite as fast (85mph with driver), but I’m glad I found your channel and consider myself a golf ball addict. I currently game the AVX and the TaylorMade Tour Response. I would love to see reviews on the 2024 PXG Tour Extreme and the Vice Pro series. Amazon carries all these now.

Thanks 🙏 your reviews are so much more relevant to my golf . I play the Tour Response and always wonder if it’s the right ball for me , thanks for the confirmation it’s better value than the AVX and is the right balance of compression and feel for my swing speed.

Hi Adrian! No problem at all, I'm glad it helped! As an FYI I love the Tour Response and think it's a great ball! If you ever feel like you need to bump up the spin a little bit with your irons then try the Bridgestone Tour B RX or RXS - I game the RX after moving to it from the Tour Response (which I gamed for 2 years after it came out!) solely for that reason! Hi John! It's certainly not as soft as many budget friendly balls but certainly is softer than any other premium ball I've tested, bar perhaps the Chrome Soft. It does feel soft off the face though due to the cover and compression combined! All the best pal! 👍

I'll stick with the Tour B RX. Would love to see you review the Tour B X and XS. Though I am below 105 mph with driver, I also get some great results with the B XS.

Luke's review caused me to try the B RX. So far I've played 27 holes with them and I love everything about it. Using the 2022 version, it's on sale.

Hi Adjman! I plan to test the 2024 range of Bridgestone's very soon so will include the X and XS as I'm keen to see what they do in my hands, as like you say we are below the 105mph swing speed they quote... Hi Petro... I'll let you into a little secret, whilst waiting for the Wilson's to come back on the 3 for 2 offer, I've gone back to using up my remaining supply of the Bridgestone Tour B RX (2022) and I had forgotten how much I love it... There's now a high chance I'll stick with it if the 2024 ball is similar! It just feels like the perfect ball for me! 👍

Brilliant work as usual Luke. I always tune in not least as I’m similar swing speed and HCP to you (11) and yet to really find my ‘gamer’. On the small tight firm greens at my home course a urethene higher spinning ball is a non negotiable and helps to improve my short game confidence (and hopefully gets to me to single digits). My Golf Spy raved about the Srixon Z star diamond which sits between their other 2 tour models promising the best of both worlds, speed and spin of the xv with the slightly softer feel towards the normal z star. Softer balls do feel a little better in off centre strikes. I only wish they offered it in an optic yellow! I’d love to see you put it up against the Wilson’s you liked (especially as you were undecided between the 2) as it can be sourced a little cheaper.

Titleist Tru Feel is like the poor man's AVX. I've played it, like it and wouldn't play or pay for any Titleist mid or higher priced ball. The TrueFeel is also advertised as having a lower ball flight, but I'm not seeing that. Thanks for the review Luke, another good one.

Hi Petro! I think that's a REALLY nice conclusion. In my testing in almost back to back weeks, I'm definitely seeing similar performance in both golf balls - with perhaps the only big difference being the cover material... But like you, I'd struggle to play AVX over TruFeel at my level! Thanks for watching and for a great comment! 👍

Tru feel is better value if you want to play Titleist. Titleists premium golf balls are getting ridiculous especially when you can see the DTC balls are easily matching Titleist these days. Great job again mate. Hopefully you will test the trust ball range soon👍

I agree, prices are outrageous for premium balls. The Tru Feel is an excellent ball and I think many recreational golfers would find it to be all they need.

Thanks Pete! A few people have said it performed very similar to Tru Feel on my hands yet is double the price and I think that’s a really good assessment. I don’t think an average swing speed player like me reaps the benefits of it! It is soft so I hear you there! 👍🏼
