In Wisconsin, we use handles like that on our ice fishing rods. We either tape the reels on or thick small rubber bands.

I build some of my ice rods with cork Tennessee handles. We use castration bands to hold the reels on.

@@rsrodsjigs6725 Some guys do. But when I build a custom cork handle the tape after time can take the cork out.

Interesting to say the least, don't think it'll work in the hot Ozzy summer. The tape adhesive would get pretty sticky in no time. Can see how it'll work in some climates

You are probably correct 🎣 if it were left out in the sun I think it would get pretty sticky
