Veterans from the 173rd Airborne talk about arriving in Vietnam in 1966 as 18 year-olds. This clip is part of the documentary film, My Father's Brothers.
About My Father's Brothers:
June 29, 1966 - A platoon of American soldiers stumbles upon a large enemy force in the dense jungles of Vietnam. Outnumbered 10-to-1, they face the darkest hours of their lives. The filmmaker interviews his father and other survivors about what happened on that fateful day and the effects it has had every day since.
