Have you compared this Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate with the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue?? I heard that the Hydra Rescue is a great dupe for this Tom Ford foundation.

The new foundation looks so radiant on your skin. I tried on it Nordstrom but couldn’t commit to buying that day because of the price. But it was a definitely beautiful foundation!

thank you, Nicole, for this review, I always enjoy your honest opinion I have this foundation in 6n perfect match I also have the other TF foundations as well. The coverage on this is perfect I have dark hyperpigmentation and it builds to a full coverage w/o looking caky. I have combo skin oily t-zone as long as you find the perfect powder to set with its perfection I used the Chanel translucent powder in medium or mac mineralized skin finish also works perfectly to set this foundation.

I also use 6.0 in the Soleil formula but ended up with 4.7 in the new version. It took awhile to find the perfect shade but I did and I love this! Caved and got the new brush too.

I have been waiting for it!;-) I think I definitely should try this foundation although I am a bit worried about the hydrating aspect of it as I have a combination skin and tend to get oily in my T zone. Do you think the Sisley Phyto Teint Ultra Eclat may possible perform a bit better especially for spring/summer season, or is it the same radiant? I like the fact that this one has such a high SPF though. xox

Hi Erin, I happened to visit Aventura the day it launched at Nordstrom and was color matched to the 4.7 Cool Beige. The rep did my make up beautifully and I bought it. I LOVE it! ❤️ Just like you mentioned I loved the Soleil but was happy they changed this one to a pump versus the dropper. I would usually end up with drops of foundation on my blouses while trying to hurriedly get my foundation on in the morning. Thanks for the review.

Oh, Erin, I come to you head down, eyes covered. I really hope I did not pressure you into purchasing this foundation. I would never feel good about doing that, you are so sweet! I was just wondering if you'd tried it yet! That being said, WOW you look so lovely! Your skin looks like you've been kissed by sweet baby angels placing rays of sunshine on your face! If only this foundation made me look like you LOL That being said, as someone with dry, mature skin, who doesn't live in a tropical climate, this really sounds like a great one to add to my collection. I was going back and forth but 'Tom Ford called and he wants my money' and with Erin's seal of approval, I wave the white flag! I'm super late to comment on this. Was looking for a winter shade match (I use 6.0 in the summer), and came upon this video. Will tell you after all the other foundations I've tried, this one not only is the most absolutely beautiful on me, but wears (under a mask even!) like no other. I don't prime, powder, nothing. Nothing has come close to this. I get almost enough coverage with just one small pump....so for me this one is a huge win where so many others have lost (normal/oily skin type).

I have oily skin. But this foundation looks very good on my skin. I don’t agree that it is not for oily skin. It looks a little bit matte that la prairie foundation. Skin is gorgeous.

Love your review,apart from price range,it has some skin benefits,it gives skin healthy glow,it has pump(🤗🤗🤗),I love pump,but this is not for me because I have oily/combination skin.i have doubt about guerlain because it contains strong perfume, which is not suitable for sensitive skin .I tried chanel sublimage foundation sample but I didnt feel my skin greasy or oily so can I give a try for this foundation?

As much as I love their foundation, Tom Ford was very unhelpful with shade matching. Since I don't live near any Tom Ford or Nordstrom locations, their solution for me was to order whatever shade I thought would be closest to my skin tone and that they have free returns.

I have most of the TF foundations and I wish they would be more consistent in their shade names and numbers. I wear a different shade name in every single TF foundation. It's annoying coz you always have to re-match yourself. The 6.0 in the stick is waaaay lighter than the 6.0 in the traceless liquid. Like 2 shades lighter. Then the 6.0 in the Tone Up cushion is darker than both. They're all different undertones too. 6.0 Stick is beige, 6.0 traceless liquid is slightly yellower, 6.0 tone up is yellow golden. Like wtf? Love their formulas and finishes, just need improvement in their shade names.

I did not like this foundation! The high spf left a big white cast on my face, and it sat in my pores. I think there are a lot better options for this price point.
