I have the US General service cart and so far it's been great. Just couldn't spend the amount of money that a Matco, Snap On , Mac or Cornwell costs. Each to their own.

I’ve been working out of a series one 44” box with the side stack for years. Yeah, is crappy….But it’s fully functional. All the paint in still on it (Unlike my Cornwell box). I’m really debating going with either this box or an Icon. I’ve priced out a Matco, but I can’t see spending that kind of money on a box. For that price I could buy the US General, a top of the line Launch scan tool, and a Picoscope. And still have money left over.

I bought a Snap on 84 epic for my garage. Would I do it again NO. I was very disappointed in the finished product. Last month I bought a US General cart and love it !

That was a great video. I've been looking at the series 3 boxes and the icon box. I was just wondering why you chose the series 3 box over the icon. I was also wondering what you think about the icon 73 inch box. You've really helped me decide on what tools to buy. I'm not a fan of the hutch. I like having a top box. The price point since I already had one super heavy duty box and this unit is for overflow from that box is the main thing. If i could have afforded the icon i would have went that route but honestly my og HF box held up fine but i never move it across the shop and stuff like that.

For 6k you could buy two 71” set ups one with a hutch one with top box for less than the Matco bottom three bank , I have the same 6s you have their 👍I think the General box is nice

I'd never judge anyone based on their storage. Worked with a guy that came from a dealership with built ins and he probably had close to 6 figures of snap on in a husky

The only problem i have is the depth of the drawers (from front to back) 19 inches is to small.

For the price you can buy two of these full set ups less than you can pay for half a bottom box off the truck… to each their own. But I can say this, for the money it’s hard to beat. Can barely buy a locker for the price of the entire set up

I prefer a top box, my set up is a Snap On close to your Matco set up. For me its more about the Chinese vs American made issue. Congratulations on the new box brother. Thanks for another great video. Stay strong brothers.

Would definetly go with the top box, rather have the tool storage over the hutch, would like to see overhead storage like the Icon for cased items, but storage lockers could handle most of my stuff!

I saw somewhere that purple is coming because it was listed with a part number in a manual for something they make. Some sleuth on KZbin pointed out. Sorry I can't recollect exactly where, but keep your eyes peeled for it and hopefully you'll find it. Best!

Clay, I have an original US GENERAL 56" PRO SERIES. That box has served me very well since I got it in 2013, the only thing I have had to do to it is repaint the top box as it was starting to have surface rust on it from weather, yes it was outside for a couple of years covered up in tarps while I was waiting on a new barn. Not one bit of it was due to mfg, all my own doing. But a few cans of red spray paint and it was good as new. I hope to upgrade to a series 3 in the near future.

Tech Tip, Remove the KEY CODE from the lock... You can obtain keys way toooooo easy. You can get different bushings for the friction sliders latching system for matco / mac

The drawers like to come open unlocked in the Matco when moving it.I had to replace the drawer slides in one drawer of my Dad's Lower Snap On toolbox under warranty.About 35 years old and he bought it new,first set of the slides that were replaced.One shop in my area,the owner paid $54,000.00 for a huge Snap On set up

There is a lot to be said about harbor freight lately. Personally I have always had great luck with buying used boxes. My current snapon krl series 54" with stainless top all in cost me 2k. Also, I much prefer the deeper drawers vs longer box as it takes a smaller footprint. I think the new series 3 will be a great option for new techs that want a big box. But doesn't hurt to hold out for a smoking used deal on a usa made box.

I don’t care for the hutches. They cost too much for what they do. A top box just makes more sense for me. I’ve never understood why some people hate on the tools and toolboxes that others seem to like. What works for some people may not work for others and that’s normal.
