You are a great teacher. And such a sweet person. I love you videos, especially the rounds. I'm retired 70 years old and a widow. I needed to keep myself busy and purchased a Cricket Exp 2. I have made every mistake out there. 😆 My projects are for my family and friends, but if I had someone who wanted me to make something special for them I would want it as perfect as I could make . I can't believe you are near giving birth to a baby girl. God bless.

3M recommends you use a scraper on their tape to fully seal it! It totally works (as you know)!
@JustBHonest2 жыл бұрын
When you're using the 4-in hot dog roller the end of the roller gets more paint on it because you're not using that end when you were trying to explain the marks that the end of the roller leaves they're called lap marks. Like you were doing you always go over your work with long strokes from left to right and top to bottom which will eliminate the lap marks in the end of your roller should always be hanging off of your work on the last stroke so there'll be no lap mark. The least amount of pain build up gets on the inside of the 4 inch hot dog roller so as your painting top to bottom the end of your hot dog roller that has roller nap on it also should always be off of your work on the final stroke. Sometimes as we're dipping a roller or using our roller a lot, we get too much paint on the inside of the outside of the nap which needs to be removed especially when doing finite projects. I always recommend a wet painless rag to wipe off the inside of the nap that's closest to the roller arm and the outside of the nap. Doing this will eliminate mostly all of your lap marks. Also when you're applying paint to your roller I apply it at a slight angle as not to get too much paint close to the end of the nap that wraps around the four inch roller, it causes roller spits, excess paint build up, and lab marks. So keeping the ends of your roller nap as clean as possible and if any build up occurs the wet painted snap is the best way to wipe off all that excess paint and will prevent problems in the future. You're right frog tape is extremely expensive and reusing it on small projects is a great idea. Your painting process is done well I just thought I might explain what those lap marks are from the roller to the average viewer and why they happen and how to prevent them. You did a wonderful job explaining it.

I do a LOT of wood rounds and every time I would spray the matte rustoleum before the brush in polyurethane, it left a funky finish and the project was ruined. I can’t tell you how many rounds I ruined when I first started. I’m guessing the wood you use for your rounds makes a difference. So on a side note, I have learned so much from you! I’ve already taken notes and will be purchasing products from your Amazon store link. I love watching your videos!
