I just watched one of your shorts about not needing all those DT candles, vases, cutting boards, etc. I live in very small town with one dt store and its small so I had to laugh when I heard you say that cause I was dying to find a bamboo cutting boards, vases besides 2, houses, and never ever found those egg containers. You guys that do find all that stuff are so lucky. I have been dying to find some wood round beads and none since maybe 5 + years not a round and not even the circles of them. I do agree with you though, unless you make something out of all those signs and vases it would take up a lot of room that I don't have so maybe for best I can't find them. I'm an old grandma just starting to learn crafting so I can have something to do.

I love love love the projects! I love the solo wood flowers. I love staining them with water and chalk paint
@lanamimes83102 жыл бұрын
@Tanja Couch Would you mind sharing how you do your stain for the Solo Wood Flowers, please? Needless to say, I have messed up more than a few, trying to stain them.
@tanjacouch33402 жыл бұрын
@@lanamimes8310 I use watered down chalk paint and it works out beautifully. Strong coffee works for the vintage look that I get or strong tea although the tea turns out lighter than I would like but doesn’t have as strong of a smell But the smell of coffee doesn’t stick around long and I have learned I can add vanilla to it and it smells better lol. I use about a tsp to a tbs of paint with little 1/4 cup for strong color or add more water to make it lighter. I stain my tea towels the same way except the tea towels have to ring out and dry then heat set with ironing them then they can be washed and dried. I have used chalk paint and water to dye many natural things like wood and natural fabrics. It is wonderful for these projects. It took quite a bit of trial and error for me on the amout of paint and water for the vibrant colors but it really works so well and it is so cost effective since most of us already are using the chalk paints in our DIY’s. I don’t bother buying extra dyes when I can use chalk paint for a lot of it. 😉😀 Hope this helps. Have fun there are so many colors to use!!

Sammie, what a wonderful compilation video. So much fun. I am not going to pretend to give a crafting pro like you tips, but when I realize my clay might be drying out, I make beads from it! I make different sizes and run a skewer through each one for the hole. I have seen crafters go to great extremes to paint beads-not me, no time for that. I decide how many I need for a project, put them in a Chinese take-out container, add a very small amount of the paint color (full strength)I want the beads, put the lid on and shake, shake, shake. Pour the beads out on a paper towel and dry. Perfect coverage every time and easy clean up. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!

I started using the puppy/kitty pads to catch any spills, hot glue drips or whatever other mess I make. They're great cuz if you "happen" to spill your coffee while crafting they have the plastic to keep it from going through to the carpet. This video is so great. I loved everything you did. The colors are amazing and will work good in my booth that I have to change out SOON. Christmas is over and so is the year. Happy New Year. 🎉 I also enjoy watching your bloopers at the end. You crack me up with the goofy faces you make.

Love all your creations, Sammi, and watch a lot. But please don't use an apostrophe in DIYs and ideas. The apostrophe indicates the word or name before the s means it owns something and 's is not used to indicate more than one thing.
@tarynkriebel3192 жыл бұрын
@ Nicole W. Well, there are several diy projects?
@rosiejimenez39532 жыл бұрын
If you are making a door sign and you use someone's name it is okay to add the apostrophe because the sign is saying you own the house!
