Picked up a pair of the Simgot today. They are so much more comfortable than the Zero's. The nozzle size, shape, they're vented better, the overall size is smaller. The case is nicer too. I could never get used to the weird pouch the Zero's came with. Definitely worth the extra $60 both in comfort and sound. The depth perception in Call of Duty was a HUGE difference with them. I can pre-fire a corner or doorway at exactly at the right time with these. With the Zero's I almost always would pre-fire too early to the point I just wouldn't pre-fire when I was using them because I'd just give away my position. I also kept hearing so much more through walls it was startling me, and it still really confuses me why there is SO much of a difference. I kept switching back and forth between them because I thought there had to have been an audio update in the game or something. I also picked up another pair of Moondrop Quarks because I lost mine and I usually ended up reaching for those over my Zero's because of the comfort. They're an $11-13ish iem (with or without mic) that have no business being as good as they are. The Quarks definitely belong on an ultra budget iem list. I was planning on getting a $300-500 pair after my Zero's but haven't decided which yet. To my ears these (the Simgots) are definitely a huge upgrade from the Zero's (at least in Call of Duty)

Also when you play are you just running stereo or do you have virtual surround applied? I use the soundblaster G6 for surround which I find good, I've tried running regular stereo and find it weird having sound cues coming through on 1 side

@@usmankhalid990 @usmankhalid990 the Simgot were significantly better for search and destroy in Call of Duty they really let me pick up small sounds across the map but I'd still prefer the quarks for respawn because the Simgots were pretty jarring when there were lots of gunshots and nades. I'm basically finding that balanced armatures are just way better for hearing footsteps and reloads as well as overall separation. I have the light versions (normal and short stem) of the eartip linked but I tried several different ones on them. Can't remember which eartips I liked best with them because my em6l's like many others had the right monitor go out within a couple weeks. Some had nozzles fall off too so I just got a refund instead of a replacement since there were so many people having issues. Comparing the quarks with something like the zeros though I'd definitely choose the quarks if I could only have one because they're so much more comfortable I can't even tell I'm wearing them most of the time and I'm not really losing anything substantial gaming wise, music sounds better too and they're only like $12 I think everyone should have a pair

The em6l definitely seems to have some quality control issues. A lot of people have reported nozzles disconnecting, faceplates coming off, loose connectors. Yesterday my right side just completely stopped working after less than a month, less than about 40 hours of use, no drops, no excessive volume etc (switched the cable to confirm). Already returned it and ordered the Orchestra Lites, decided to gamble on larger size, no venting, and less bass (which based on your review will probably be a good thing in Call of Duty). Really glad I ordered the Simgot from Amazon for the ultra easy return

I’ve done a ton of research on picking my IM. I went with this model. I love ‘em! I did find that I put the EQ in a scoop, but I have exactly what I wanted to hear now. I listen to music through Spotify on “very high”, however I have to turn the volume up a bit.

Hey Fresh, just wanted to drop by to say that the EM6L are an amazing find. Using them with the SMSL C200 I feel like they have better positioning and separation in music and games compared to DT 1990 and Zero: RED. It seems that the 3kHz bump in the EM6L is the deciding factor that probably makes them less shouty than the original Zero (which I haven't tried I'm just judging by the FR curve), while it gives them better spatial qualities than the Zero: RED. Also the sound is so immersive on the EM6L I can really feel like I'm in a battlefield when the grenades go off and the gunshots seem more real than on the other sets I have. I find the Zero: RED a bit more enjoyable for music (even without the impedance adapter) as they are less in your face and closer to neutral (or at least to my preference), but the imaging and separation of elements on the EM6L is so nice that I find myself switching often between DT 1990, EM6L and Zero: RED for music while for gaming I'm mostly sticking with EM6L and DT 1990 occasionally when I can't be bothered to use IEMs. Keep the reviews coming and nice work so far!

Ive asked around a lot here and looked at the videos / reviews and purchased 3 IEMS: EM6L, Quartets, Zero: Red. At first I didnt know which one I preferred but right now im going for the em6ls, The sound sounded the most natural too me which I like. In the beginning I had comfort issues which is why I ordered the quartets but after letting my ears rest a bit I actually think I like the fit of the em6l more with the smaller shell. Also like the cable on the em6l the best, as for the quartets i really did not like the standard ear tips compared to the em6l. In the end I found I personally dont prefer iems and bought open back headphones (hd560s). Only got them today so I havent gotten to try them out a whole lot but so far I am really liking them. If I do want to try out / own iems in the future though I will go for the em6l unless something better has come out in that time. Thanks fresh reviews for answering my comments and others their comments and creating these videos, they were the primary source of my decision for sure! edit: man now I want to try the 900 pro x aswell even though they are more than I was willing to spend 😭

Nice to add to the budged list. Id be damn interested in the other 2 of the "big 3" as i call them. One of the most recommended HiFi cans are: Focal Clear (OG), Hifiman Arya and Sennheiser HD 800 S. You already did the 800 s but wheres the aryas and the Clears? I own clears tho and kinda like them but never tried them for gaming to be honest

Can you review the KZ PR2 for gaming? The most affordable Planar IEM. I hear that Planars have very good imaging and separation. It's leaning towards harman tuning too with a little bit of air.

I love it, though I have not yet tried the much more expensive planar driver ones. But compared to my Single DD and Dual DD sets, air and treble is much better on the PR2.

my simgot just arrived yesterday and i'm having problem with the imaging. i cant pinpoint where the enemy is. i'm hearing the enemy at my left but it appears in my right vice versa. it's kinda weird. i tried switching the cable left and right but it's still the same. very hard to identify where the enemy is.

if audio cues on your right are happening on the left your cable is reversed and you need to fix that. When getting the cable correct, that should not be happening.

Crazy to see the king finally get dethroned in the budget category. As a side note surprisingly the simgot looks very 0 effort/F tier on shell aesthetics while the truthears look S tier. Not that aesthetics matter for sound of course lol, but the simgot is surprisingly ugly/bland.

Would the simgot be a good substitute, not saying upgrade, but maybe a good sidegrade? Oh I’d absolutely recommend them as a first iem. If you grab them swing back and let me know what you think comparing them to your Epos! My only concern is whether the controllers will drive them well, but worth a try!

Hi fresh I bought the zeros based off your recommendation a while back but wondering about upgrading I'm diamond in both apex and Val and kinda want to know the actual incremental sound stage / resolution change to pull the trigger on the kiwi orchestra lite

Resolution will be the biggest change. I think it’s a direct upgrade and worth it tbh. For JUST gaming the zero is great though. But you’ll appreciate the differences enough to say …. Aaaaah this is nice.

Really a personal decision. I think they’re better in some key areas but the zero is great and if your ears and brain are already adapted to them you’ll perform great

This is for the Simgot em6l. I noticed that the ear tips dont have a lip on them to hold the silicon/foam bud that fits inside your ear in place. When taking them in and out has that silicon/foam bud ever slide off the tip of IEM?

I had a third party tip on and no, it doesn’t slide off as it does have a stem inside that attaches to the nozzle

Mmmmm tough call. For music and gaming the quartet is great. It’s warmer. Nicer ergonomic more premium feel imo. The em6L better for pure gaming though

Hello! What do you think about Moondrop Chu 2's? SIMGOT EW200 is a bit expensive for my budget but if it's better than the chu 2's a mile away then ill save up but then again my current earphones are broken so... your opinion would be greatly helpful! Oh and also would be adding Tripowin zombur cable just for the mic since the chu 2 doesn't have a built in one, not sure if they're good though.

I'm really interested in getting an IEM from your budget (~$100) category, but I want something specifically for Tarkov, where slight noises like someone ADSing a weapon, or pulling the pin from a nade can be the difference maker in a gunfight, depending on who hears who first. Plus, also being able to differentiate accurately what guns are being shot by your enemy or around you. So would you still recommend the Simgot EM6L here or is there any new option I should know about. Thanks in advance!

Can you elaborate a little on the bump you gave to the dunu kima? Last week the kimas were ranked 4th on your budget list behind the kiwi ears quartet and the moondrop Lan. Now they are ahead of both of those. I just ordered the quartet should I cancel my order and get the kimas if I want very good gaming and decent music?
