The pioneer woman....I mean uh, Pionero is cool!! I love the name. If you guys do redesign the sheath, please make it fold-over instead of pancake style kydex because it makes the overall package of the sheathed knife skinnier. Why have a tiny concealable knife if the sheath effectively doubles the size? Thanks!

Hey! Love those dive knives. As an enthusiast spearfisherman myself, I would lean towards the side of having a really rust resistant steel than having a very edge resistant steel. Reason being that those knives may not be used for lots of cuts or fish processing (we have other knives for that). These dive knifes are mostly used for a quick cut or stab, but corrosion is something we are constantly battling when getting the knife in saltwater no matter if the knive was used to cut or not. Contrary to woodsmen knives, which may be used for endless hours of cutting, dive knives are not usually used like this. There are tons of dive knives on the market with medium quality steels or crappy steels. I would absolutely pay extra for a magnacut steel or something like this because it brings the needed edge retention plus a good bit of corrorion resistance. Just my two cents!

Maybe 24 years of martial arts including knife fighting (with unsharpened knives with colored chalk along the edges that would be sharp measures if you land a strike or the opponent or opponents get you). Repetition creates muscle memory and fast lethal strikes become natural. Any other assumptions dumbass

Hilarious. 10-12 years ago I bought a 4” Shun paring knife and had a guy at the knife shop make me a kydex sheath exactly like the one this paring knife has. I was sick of the trend knives were going in - made of super thick steel that had no flex or slicing capabilities. Had that knife as an EDC for years. One of the best. Now slicers have been trickling back into user awareness. A useful knife is so much more than a bar of steel with a nice shape cut into it.

Why is he acting like there isn’t a stainless that won’t hold a good edge. Hello? Magnacut....It would be expensive but if he wanted a good knife that would not rust and hold a better edge than even most carbon or tool steels, that’s one of the best options.

As a professional diver and spear fisherman of 18 years, both dive knives would never be my first choice, let alone a consideration as a tool for either endeavor. Neither execute the form or function needed in a dive specific or spear fishing specific knife. Even just listening to the Tops rep talk about the R&D of each knife and it’s features it was clear they didn’t know what they were talking about.

I absolutely love this Ed Manifesto inspired self-defense paring knife made by Tops Knives, but I really really hate the Kydex sheath it has!!! It would be awesome to see a new style of Kydex sheath made for this knife with the least amount of Kydey around the blade as possible with only two grommets towards the heel of it's blade!!! I hate how its stock kydex sheath is a super wide pancake style Kydex sheath with a tone of holes/grommets on it!!! No one is going to be carrying this knife as a neck knife. In reality, it's going to be carried inside the belt/waist band and / or in your front pocket. This pancake Kydex sheath will definitely be annoying to carry inside your waist lline/belt because it's so incredibly wide that it will definitely dig into your stomach when you try to bend over or twist. Get rid of the holes/grommets for neck knife carry!!! It would also be nice to see the new Kydex sheath have a thumb ramp built into it. That way, you could easily use your thumb to push off the sheath as you're holding the handle of the knife, making it easier to take the knife out of the sheath. Overall, it's an incredible knife with a really crappy Kydex sheath!!!

Those dive knives are way to large for freediving/spearfishing in my opinion. I dive with two knives one to brain and bleed and one for backup and tangles. If you don't plan on making it allmost rust proof then don't plan on charging much. I can get decent designed dive knives that rust for 40 bucks. Lol

I love the sneak reaper knife. But I'm kind of not liking the sheath that comes with it I prefer keeping the hardware on one side for a lighter easier carry. In my opinion this type of knife is going to be appendix carried by 99% of the people who carry it.

Also if your knife rusts it will not be sharp anyway so a high edge retention knife is useless if it rusts magnacut is your answer

So far a disappointing line up from tops unfortunately. I did hear him say they were trying to refocus and get production demand issues straightened out so if that’s what’s going on right now then I don’t mind because it’s better that they put that energy there. It’s just hard to see the rest of their catalog being so outstanding then to look at these. Dive knives are cool but outside of that it’s pretty uninspiring:(
