Right click the packed tent in your inventory to attach it to your backpack, attach is the first option in the list. The set up tent has an inventory, put your unpacked sleeping bag inside of it to increase the comfort of sleeping in the tent. You can also put a pillow in for comfort as well.

I know I can’t believe how easily I missed it, eyes went straight to the middle of the list :D I didn’t know about the tent list either I’m so used to the old tents, do you know if I can pack it up with a sleeping bag inside or if they’re separate? Thanks for the tips though, huge help!

@@Vulrhund Pretty sure you've got to empty it before packing it up. I haven't been able to check if you can attach both a tent and a sleeping bag to a backpack yet, that might be something to try.

37:14 You have a new extra slot on your hotbar. You can attach some sleeping equipment on there. Just click around idk. I have not done it myself but saw a short on it XD. Its super simple, but you just have to do it once lol

If you find some Comfrey while foraging, you can use it to make a poultice, and it will heal the fracture about 50% faster than without. Use the comfrey with pestle and mortar and then use that with a clean rag or bandage to apply to the wound, then re splint

Could get books from b41 foraging too, I found a mechanics recipe magazine outside a house once. The water and pasta thing, the pot you were trying to boil would have had like 10ml of water short or something. It always refuses if not absolutely full. Liquid transfer is bugged. Can take 30minutes to a few hours to purify water.

I had no idea! I’ve only foraged in deep woods and there’s nothing like that out there! Nightmare of a morning trying to work that out but got there in the end :D figured out the boiling way too thank god

I paused at 1:40 to point out what I thought was only one bug but you're suggesting is much wider. In my experience Cooking Pots and Kettles are the only things that ever boil, and they do it at an expected and appropriate pace. I left two saucepans full of tainted water in the oven for over two hours while I was cooking up batches of cake and cookies and they never boiled. I think the fact that it's happening with a Cooking Pot here is really interesting. I haven't had a problem boiling water in Cooking Pots using a stove but here we are with a Cooking Pot not boiling on a BBQ. I wonder if a saucepan or something else might work? Could I boil a bucket on the campfire? I assume you can use bowls and mugs to boil water in the microwave but it's always puzzled me why you could put plastic water bottles in the microwave because microwave-safe plastic certainly was a thing but not like that.

7:20 I wasn’t a fan of not being able to wash from a collector either Collectors are still buggy. Can’t plumb them to a sink yet. Can’t wash with them. They’re nearly useless outside of farm water, considering I can always wash and drink from the countless sinks around.

You know you should right click set alarm when you lift digital watches. Cant tell you how often one of those buggers randomly set off in the middle of a fight for me and instead of facing down the 4 a drew from the crowd I now am running for the treeline as hundreds of the buggers now close in on me.

Fifth horseman. I see that you took my advise from the previous vids to loot the gunstores. I looted the other gunstore. Massive amounts of ammo. Though I believe Build 41 had far more loot. I didn't find many guns. However, carried back a whole of military crates, furniture, clothing and so on!

I did, had a little plan for it but your comment made me pull the trigger. I come here so often I can't pass it up! Build 41 so far feels like everything was way more abundant, not sure what it is because the loot settings are the same if not higher but still super low everything

Man but my trip was fun. Took down 400 zeds, still had to leave around 200 and sneak around them My loot table was this: Two working cars with keys (Stepvan, Cherise Wagon) 7 Military Crates 100 kilos of ammo 3 basic guns. Lots of army uniforms. Lots of water canteens. One tent. A Machete A firefighter axe on a zed. 60 kilos of canned food. (From the food market adjacent). Couple of skill books. Two-three military lockers and shelves. Left two of my old cars with keys for any future survivors. Found a generator that I hooked up to the gas station near the surplus store

I'm at about the same point in my B42 playthrough; I have some advice about muscle fatigue for you: Think of muscle fatigue as an 'invisible moodle'. Like all moodles, muscle fatigue has four stages, with stage four being the absolute worst and the one you want to avoid. - Stage 1 muscle fatigue is when you see the yellow message in your health pannel. This is the one you keep seeing; this stage is trivial and you can continue fighting. - Stage 2 is when the pain moodle activates. At this point, your combat abilities will diminish somewhat, but you can keep fighting if you want. - Stage 3 is when the muscle fatigue message turns red in your health pannel. From here on, your combat abilities will be diminished by a non-trivial amount. Ready for the kicker? From my experience, a single painkiller can almost -- if not completely -- nullify the effects of stages 1-3. Remember that _pain_ is what causes your combat abilities to drop. ... what a painkiller won't help you with, is stage 4 muscle fatigue. This can hit very suddenly and with absolutely no warning: you'll know if you're in this stage, because your character will attack very slowly and hit like a pillow. Beware that even if you take a painkiller, your muscle fatigue 'stat' keeps ticking up or down in the background. This means that if you take a painkiller at stage 3 and continue fighting, you can very suddenly find yourself with zero combat abilities with no warning! I reccomend taking a painkiller if you're fighting a large horde or if you think you'll be fighting a steady 'stream' of zombies. Be ready to dip out once you see the muscle fatigue messages turn red. Tall fences are death for muscle fatigue; avoid them during combat. Good luck on your run and I hope our characters live long and kill many zombies. :^)

It was a super long comment I had to be at my desk for so I had to keep you waiting! Some great tips though, especially for the painkillers! I think I've worked out the rest in stages 1-3 except for painkiller use so I'm gonna put that theory to the test. Level 4 however is the mother of all strain, that's pretty much my "let's get out of here" moment that I just turn tail and run for the nearest trees and that usually works quite well :D Appreciate you man, thanks for the tips they're a huge help!

I agree its pretty weird you cant wash yourself in the bins anymore. Still not sure if thats an intentional change or a bug. I had to get a mod to re-enable it. Also you should use your smaller flash light the big one drains batteries super quick

Very strange setup isn't it, not too sure what's happened there but I hope it changes back otherwise that mod sounds like a plan. I mainly use the heavy one for the better spread, on board with the little one but you just can't quite see as far in buildings

Yeah lots of buggos with the water/liquids. Some things take ages to purify, best bet is the large cooking pot. Unsure if the saucepan works, there's a mod to fix it, lower the time on some things like buckets and cans and another mod to enable washing in world objects like collectors. You can wash in the river though.

Lot of funny business going on with it all round it's a little strange but I'm sure it'll get solved! I've only tested the cooking pot and it took a while but got there, the tin can doesn't work at all. I'll definitely start washing in the river though, burning through water doing it elsewhere. The new tents are going to be good for a nomad run purely because you can attach them to your backpack, but a nomad run in b42 seems rough

For sure! I need to go back and grab one to see if I can make a full bundle with tent and sleeping bag combined and sling it on the bottom of the bag, be an interesting one to find out!

To clean the tainted water, you need to light the fire before putting the pot in If you put the pot in before the fire is on, it will not work. Everything is bugged in b42

Boiling water seems to be a bug or something. I was trying to boil water to sterilize bandages and another time trying to cooking a pack of mac and cheese. The water would never boil. Maybe if I stopped watching it, it would boil. Because of the whole 'a watched pot never boils' rule of thermodynamics.

I have died 2 times now visiting this gun store place. Idk why. Also just a bit back (but after the giant applience store) there are 2 random houses, then a road to the left. (just before the main road starts to curve). There is this place called Meadshire Estate (or whatever Its spelled) It is a VERY cool place. Just a giant gated community with 16-17 massive houses. Its a dream place for some decent loot. But there are zombies lol. It took me 9 days to clear lol

A question about traits as I try and get the guts to buy and play PZ LOL ... What about Sunday Driver? I ask because I never understood the reasoning behind speeding through a dead world ... I mean where's the fire? Time is sort of moot in the PZ universe when it comes to getting places ..... thoughts?

Do it you wont regret it!! Sunday driver just feels a little too slow for me, and the biggest drawback is the acceleration. Say you need to flee in a hurry or drive through a handful of zeds, sunday driver pretty much wipes out and chance of doing that, it's a little more than just speed

I have boiled water, it takes a horrendously long time. I hope the Dev's adjust that soon. It is as annoying as having to clean dirty rags from water carried in your inventory.

He's had a splint on since the fracture happened. I think it's a combinayion of not resting/eating enough with slow healer

As ^ said, there's been a splint on there since day one but slow healer is hitting me hard with this one! I usually take it as free points because I've only ever fractured one thing in like 2,000 hours, won't be making that mistake again :D

@@Vulrhundyou can drag the tent or a sleeping bag to the extra slot attachment point on your bag. Remember #1 is your back, #2 & 3 are belt left and right, and so on. You should be able to attach a canteen to your belt and maybe the angle headed flashlight.
