How is the tablet displaying maps? Did you install a sim card?

Thats a cool setup. Have you considered carpuride or chigee? The new chigee can be controlled by the wheel directly and just connects to the BMW cradle. but is prob too small for tet. About the looks, I totally agree with you. I have a 1200 GSA and if I am to upgrade it will prob be to a 1250, not a 1300. Thanks for showing your process to upgrade the navigation, it was interesting.
