Whoa, for a second I thought the curveball/twist with Maria was that she was actually going to be a new “recruit” to the family, as a new family playable character 🤯 Like, lore-wise, I was thinking maybe they might’ve had it so when she came into contact with the family, she ended up joining them-either legitimately… out of necessity…or just through some sort of Stockholm syndrome type of deal. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Makes more sense all in all that she’s just a standard victim, but initially that threw me for a loop for a second when seeing her whispering to Grandpa, lol 😅👍

Couple things about Maria's trailer: When she is whispering in grandpa's ear, they focus on a picture of him in his younger years and his wife. The wife closely resembles Maria, which explains how Maria has a sweet talk ability to grandpa and how she survived this whole time. When Maria is walking up to grandpa, she is not highlighted. The question is if this is a permanent feature of Maria's or it only works when she activates her sweet talk skill.

What nobody's talking about is that Maria fills the last spot on the character selection screen for the Victims. After Hands there is still one more spot for Family. Now we know that Virginia has spotted Jesse's car at the Family House. I suspect that last Family Spot is actually going to be Jesse. I think he chased after Sissy and will end up being her Beau. Now of course they could simply just update the character select screen to fit more characters which they will probably do at some point. But I think they're going to add 1 more Family before they do that and I think it'll be Jesse.
