i have a ruthless 10k, the other day i was demoing and heard a louuuud pop but everything was still working then saw smoke, i turned it off pulled the amp off my enclosure which is 3in walls all the way around and 4in baffle fully resined 5 steel braces on the inside so at full tilt you cant feel any vibration on the box what so ever so i know my enclosure is solid, anyways i opened it up and i blew a mosfet and 2 caps no legs are broke like you're showing on here or rubbing so i dont think it was vibration related, with that being said any idea how it happened? my electric is 2 390a alts 120ah yinlongs 15.3v is where its set to and at time of the popping my voltage was 14.6 my amp was tuned with a dd1

So far I have only seen 1 output failure and several vibration damage board. I am working on a 10k now failed from number 1 power supply transistor broken from the board.

Off topic question, but at least it helps the algorithm. Lol What kind of product can you use to seat the big transformers and inductors when they come loose? I was thinking rtv silicone might not be strong enough. Maybe E6000 rubberized glue?

Yes, E6000 is great to use along with Gorilla Glue Clear Grip. E6000 is not as reversible as GGCG though. I am always thinking of the next person who may have to work on a board that was here.

Where is there a tool to return the clips back? I don't understand, aren't there special tools for these clips to remove and return them?

Boy if there is a "real" tool for these that is available to the public I will be the first to buy one! The tool to reinstall the clips is a Philips screwdriver combined with my Klein side cutters.

What about reinstalling?

That is done with a Phillips screwdriver and the trusty side cutters.

A 10 minute video dedicated to removing spring clips easily (which is what I came here to see!) which didn't show any detail of the tool in use. That's ten minutes I'll never get back, plus another couple for the comment...
