To know the sweet spot on a rod, take the low gram and high gram rating of the rod and add them then divide by two. The number you get in grams is the sweet spot to use in grams. You can go a gram or a few above too from the number. I find using this (my method) is the most enjoyable way to load a rod properly and be able to fish for long periods of time and have great control. Also you don't need 15lb. Go down to 8lb or 10lb.

It’s been a long time since I checked in. I hope all is well with you and yours. Since I checked in last I modified a bunch of my Bait casting reels. Boca bearings carbon fiber everything . You put the fire in my belly. I’m going on 70 and health issues are keeping me from fishing. The fish are happy with that. My specialties are in freshwater. Thanks Bears G. I’m looking for some BFS 2 piece rods. The company that your showing had some nice but slightly overpriced rods. Problem is I can handle them online to get the feel of them. I could justify $300 maybe. Not a penny more. Hey Bearz thanks alot. And I’m glad you’re still hanging in there.
