I think the RealID was long over due. ETIAS is just catching the rest of the world to basic travel standards. Apple air tag upgraded was much needed and love the intergration with Delta and other airlines. AA is setting the standard for gate lice but agree with your suggestions regarding boarding. 100% with you on the gate lice thing, usually I'm left wondering which group is boarding due to unintelligible announcements and poor/absent signage. The number of people who are actually trying to bend the rules is probably extremely small.

“Gate lice” occurs because of the policy of not having a strict designation of overhead bin space. If overhead bin space is restricted to the specific passenger in the corresponding seat, not allowing anyone else to place their luggage in other bin spaces, then no one would be rushing to board the plane covertly.

I would love it and think it hilarious as well as almost completely stopping gate lice if an announcement went out over the loud speakers saying "GATE LICE ALERT" anytime someone attempted to board when it wasn't their time.

As long as the airline doesn’t ignore the alarm because they hear it so much and people get out of the way so the right people can board, I’m looking forward to it working. I’m never in a hurry to board because I just figure it’s more time sitting on the flight.

One of the stupidest things I've seen consistently with airlines is that when you're boarding the plane from the front having those people up front in group A board first then you got to get past a and b to get to c. Why don't they load the back of the plane first and then the middle and then the front?

Problem, Many people in the back place their carryon up front even if reserved for those who pay extra. I guess they may also be gate lice😊

So all you need to go from USA to france is a passport and the approval document. Along with proof of where you are staying, how much you have in your bank account you need to be able to prove you have the funds to stay there. Proof of hotel stay and proof of health insurance. Proof of arrival and depature plane tickets. Proof that you can pay to eat. Does this sound right or is it less complicated???. Thats all the info i could find for acually visiting france

Real Ids just dont make sense to me, at least in my specific scenario, arizona gives licenses for 50 years or until you turn 65 whatever comes first so its basically a 1 in a lifetime thing, I travel a lot internationally so i need a passport card or book anyways which doubles as a real id, so paying more for a drivers license that is valid for 10 years and costs more doesnt make any sense

Most states only issue driver licenses for 2, 4, 6 or 8 years so your state is an exception.

Most countries if not all have some kind of national ID card with a ton of safety features, the US is probably the only one without such a thing.

@@Sheilawisz exactly, i hold dual citizenship and on my other one i do have a national id that is free and you renew it every 10 years, its what you show when you vote too, and what you use for domestic flights.

It’s for Americans flying within the USA who don’t have or don’t want to bring their Passports. Non Americans will already have their Passports so the Real ID won’t affect their travels.

Very informative information. I came across your video on how to get the best price on flights. I am flying to Tahiti in Nov of 2026 and flying home from fiji. I was told by the cruise line that i am unable to fly in a day earlier to Tahiti but can fly home a day later in Fiji. I am trying to get the best price from Logan international to Tahiti a day earlier. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank u

Thanks for watching. I am a little confused on your exact situation. But if this fight booking is for Nov 2026 there is a good chance flight options will change by that time. So I would just keep looking once or twice a month and keep track of how those prices are fluctuating. You might notice some better flight options as you get closer to your travel date.

I can’t recall hearing of any personal information being stolen (hack) from Apple Devices. The only time I’ve seen an Apple users complaint about data is when they give out their personal Apple Account information, ie email and password. Normally that is done in a way to trick the user into giving account information. AirTags don’t have personal info linked.
