I called Traxxas and they were excellent to deal with , answered right away and it was a person , no automated crap. Found what I needed quick, great customer service

Great info Earl. Thanks. I got the spur gear on the way. I also discovered I have lying around a 27 tooth pinion (5mm shaft) from the Arrma Infraction that meshes with the 54 tooth spur. Looking forward to getting the Maxx slash on the dirt 😂.

Yes the arrma gear is a little different shape on the gear but it will work

5647 is a .8M (32p) where as the 6438 is M1. To get the M1 27T you will have to go with Arrma or aftermarket brands. Glad I saw this video as I just realized I slapped a 46T spur, not a 44.

Phil called them out month ago on the claim of Bandits 70mph & it didn't go well for big company not having pinion Traxxas suggested. Kudos to you for attemps on trying this schoolbus , mushy suspension so called Slash produce some decent #'s . I see they are still Painted by toddlers on Acid & lets hope for the best .

Just checked the Maxx Slash accessories page on the Traxxas website and it shows a machined 44T spur (has no image, just the "coming soon" filler). Not sure when the page was updated. Did not see a 27T pinion. PS Thanks for following up on the manual.

I found the gearing chart for the 70mph on the website. But I’m staying at the 50/25. Can’t wait to see how fast you get it! But yeah, definitely read first. 👍🏾💯

The charts there where’s the part number ? Is listed no where for the pinion or spur, Mo pinion or spur is Listed under the parts list or even the optional parts list witch are the same took 2 hours to locate the spur part number as anyone needed the parts to start doing the 70MPH can have them now 👍

Earl way off topic but have you ever tried the XRT wheels with Gravix tires on the Xmaxx? Not for jumping, just for fast ripping around on a track and stuff including roads. BTW good job tracking down part numbers, I have had to do the same to find things. Some of the wheels for the Xmaxx for example are listed online at stores as 17mm hubs in error when they are actually 24.

This car is a blatant rip off. They are grabbing off the slash name. It does nothing well and everything else poorly. Mini xrt or Maxx Rustler makes more sense @traxxas

I have one and the slash ultimate is just a better truck. The Maxx slash doesn’t do anything good. It flips easy, handles poorly, bottoms out off any sized jump, shocks are too short for the vehicle and suck. It will cost you 480$ to add the same aluminum and upgraded parts to the Maxx slash that the Mojave 6s comes with, out the box.

@spike-- see I don’t see a basher with this rc as it doesn’t fly well! Doesn’t land well, turns terrible, only thing I see is it’s strong and drives good on smooth grass and dirt but doesn’t good on road so speed it is 😮🤣🤣🤪
