The BL2s system is slept on. I had one laying around from taking it off my fiesta st brushless and threw it on an old bandit. And it’s FAST. Such a great system.

Picked up a rustler vxl 2wd from a pawn shop not long ago... That is a tuff one to hold on to... haven't been able to get full trigger with out spinning out , but damn it is fun...

I love the Rustler, it's actually my characters name in every game I play, haha. Wish that clipless system was on my 4x4 VXL, hate the one on mine, pain in the butt. My first Rustler was the 2wd nitro, still have it after 20+ years. Enjoy the trip, nasty weather hitting us here in TX.

I checked, the wheel speed should be the same between the vxl and bl 2s with 2s batteries. Less that 10 rpm difference.

But….the brushless 2s systems… are like the exact same speed as brushed. A true brushless ESC has WAY more power on 2s.

I checked, the wheel speed should be the same between the vxl and bl 2s with 2s batteries. Less that 10 rpm difference. The stampede caps out at 40mph because the 76/25 would overload it. Rustler to hit the claimed 45 on the box would probably need 76/26 or higher. Strangely, there’s no recommendation on speed gearing.

I like the mounting I have the 4wheel drive VXL Rustler & it has the old system with the clip lock on top that locks it into place. I just got it back up after shearing the lower front lower arm mounting bolt after seeing them I can see why they are very thin.

From the testing I have done between the xl-5 and bl2-s the new brushless version is only like three mph faster i did it with two different two wheel drive slash both with the lcq chassis set up the same

It’s funny how Traxxas has mastered the Apple effect. They make slight changes to their cars then make it seem like you’re missing out if you don’t buy the new car. It’s the same thing apple does with the iPhone but you can’t be mad at them for making the plates when peple keep eating up the bs.

I'm disappointed in the rear drive shafts. They do look slightly better than before, but I wish they were the same style as the 4wd shafts. Maybe being 2s it's just not necessary.

For a 2s system that speed is good which ones go a lot faster on a 2s system? Arrma for sure isn't soem chinese one perhaps but some of those are hard/impossible to control at high speeds soem jsut lying about being 2s i saw those 2s batteries they came with and they had 3 cells so yeah on a 3cell """"2s""""" easy to go way over 40 mph....
