My stock Xmaxx 1200kv motor locked up a week ago running stock tires last Monday. This week I picked up a hobbywing max 6 combo with an 1100kv motor an new proline MX43 badlands. It's a wole new beast it puts the stock motor an speed control to shame an it doesn't overheat!

The Sledgehammer tires are not directional but the wheels are. If you look closely at the Traxxas wheels there is a left and a right in each package. The slot in the spokes are directional. So if you mix them up the slots on the front and the back won't match. When you put yours on Mark look at 7:36 timestamp and you can see the slots are on different sides of the spokes front and rear. That is why the inside of the wheel is stamped left and right.

Also grab a set of Duratrax Hatchet X wheels and tires. Look like BKT and have tons of grip and belted. Lighter than the prolines. I do love the sledgehammers on the hoss. May have to pick them up for the Xmaxx next. Depending on how others like them and control which I'm about to watch you run. Thx for the vid of the. Hope you and the fam are good.

Use auto flip if you turn over? Hold down the menu (I think it’s menu. If not it’s the other one) key for 5 seconds. Or are you trying to avoid scratching up the top of the body, which I completely understand when you’re running a nicer one than stock.

You can blow diffs if you use the self righting feature. Same thing can happen with E-revo too.

@@CopperCanyonTerrapins I’ve yet to blow a diff doing it on any of the Traxxas vehicles I own. I’ve got 22 different models currently. It’s less strain than the wheels being under load on the ground. Now, the standard drive shafts are another story. I’ve upgraded to MIP because I hate snapping them.

I have the maxx v2 and run it at least 4 6700mah packs a week and the sledgehammer tires. Those tires ballon like mad now after about 3 weeks. Do you think these will be the same after a few weeks. Ps I like to drive my cars hard

The proline trencher lp on raid wheels with 17mm hex would be awesome for your maxx4s. Also the 3.8” badlands on raid wheels are great on raid wheels as well.

I like the sledgehammer tires on the hoss but I noticed that sometimes it will slide on pavement or concrete and sometimes it will get traction and flip over not sure if it will do it on the xmaxx since it’s a little heavier than the hoss
