The Torquemaster Sport Mini 180 is an upgrade brushed motor built for the TRX-4M vehicles from Traxxas, install and play!
The Torquemaster 180 features extremely high strength neodymium magnets to pack maximum value into your motor swap. It delivers stronger drag brake and torque delivery than stock or regular aftermarket motors. Pinion and wiring is installed for placement into TRX-4M vehicle.
This motor is not guaranteed universal for all micro or mini vehicles but is a great match for anything 1/24th to 1/18th scale.

Got my 66T yesterday. Did a lot of research. Several other choices. Have a couple brushless minis. Wanted to leave the Defender as a scale/trail, yet decent crawler....if that makes sense. Now I need to find the time to break it down. Low speed gears, bearings all around, metal diff gears and high clearance links. Should be fun.

I got both speed motors. The 87t for a spare for my boy. The 66t went in my High Traik with low gear set. Its still about HALF the speed of the stock truck. Thats a bummer. Wish there was a even faster option. I really like the low gears, But I can normal walk faster than my truck

I just installed your 87t in my fcx24 based build…after a pinion and wire swap. It’s paired with a lizard ultimate for power and adjustability. The build has a carbon fiber frame but everything else is metal/brass so it’s pretty heavy. This motor / esc combo is working very nicely with this build.

Mine came this past week and I've installed one of the 87t already. I am waiting on my 'high speed' Bronco to arrive to try the 67t out. Fun stuff :D I'd love to see an outboard like the Revolver for the TRX4M next, I still love my 1/10 Rev setup :D

@@dman19581969 I think the 87t was faster on the go but I couldnt tell muhc difference, I use the low speed gears and an underdrive.

I ordered the 66T to pair with my crawler gears and it performed WORSE at slow speed crawling than the stock Traxxas 87T motor with crawler gears. It was too on/off at low speeds. Instantly swapped it back out.

Faster motors always have less low speed control, because for any given throttle amount they will try to spin faster.

So you had stated that even with your motor installed with the original esc it’s not very good because basically it’s only as good as the esc. So you can’t just buy the motor you have to get a new esc also.

The stalling with the stock esc will be the next limiter after install of a better motor.

I just put an axial ae5 esc in mine with the stock motor, it made a huge difference. I'd advise to change the esc before the motor. My stock geared defender with loads of brass and big tyres crawls brilliantly, even have the option for 3s. I will also get the Holmes hobby motor if it's ever available in the UK

I have a pretty highly modified 4m defender (custom body, almost brass everything, high clearance links, stainless driveshafts, etc...) and weighs about 350 grams heavier than stock. After about 30-45 minutes of crawling, the stock motor gets uncomfortably warm. I'm still on the stock trail gears, but would either of these motors run cooler with all the extra weight? The stock motor does stall out every once and a while when I get caught on a tricky obstacle, not sure if that would make the motor heat up so significantly? I know you said that your motors run more efficiently, would that help with my heat issue??

Mr. Holmes and company. I have a 66t 180 motor from you guys that I have paired to a furitek lizard pro and I can NOT get the drag brake to work… I have a 2nd lizard pro with a meus 180 motor and drag brake is perfect.. what am I missing!?

Swap em around. Likely the esc, motors are simple objects. If drag didn't work on the motor , it wouldn't have reverse either

I have noticed my BR mini with 87 turn on 3s seems to be a little more jumpier than the stock Traxxas motor. I will definitely give the 66t a go

Hoping Traxx ass don't sue you. Wish you would quit wasting time on that proprietory junk instead of building us good motors for our 24 scale. Oh well. I'll suffer through. Lol. I personally don't have anyone in my RC crowd even considering buying one of those 18 trx things. I've only seen one in person. Dude man at the shop I deal with was being told he'd have to wait for a transmission to replace his. It was going to take a week to get one. He just gave it away to the guy behind the counter saying it weren't worth fixing, and he bought a mini capra. Which your 380 motors work Awesome in.
