Plus, the quality control in the NA Region isn't great still. Which makes me mad, that they don't care to fix it. It feels like it. In the Europe region, it's somewhat much better. Even though they do have some quality control issues.

AE should be the "bridge" product between the two games to give TCG access to more things in more rarities. As always though, money. We wouldn't buy our overpriced crap if we could use OCG cards (better quality, cheaper, more rarities, more quantity).

The fact that these cards are literally English but can't be used in TCG is genuinely vile. The logic of "they feel different" is made null and void because we sleeve everything. Konami is just being disgusting and greedy.

The set ID gives away that a card is Asia-English (example: DUNE-AE18 is OCG AE, DUNE-EN18 is TCG), and no amount of sleeving can hide it

Wish these cards were TCG tournament legal. They are the same especially with the text. Also it would be nice to play $1 copies of Magicians Souls. Or higher rares that the tcg currently has

What i hate about this product is that there are 5 cards per pack and 30 packs per box. The set contains 200 cards. While in the OCG Jp & Kr booster has the same cards per pack & box . Contains 81 cards. Like you have lower chance getting the high rarity cards that you want. I bought 5 boxes and still didn't get Mikanko Ohime.

This is an AE original set that's pretty much archertype reprints of cards that got support in a main set. The randomness is going to be more noticeable since it has a larger pool

OCG is not only Japan and Korea. Southeast Asia is under OCG and having a readable version of the card is great

@@makotoamamiya2442 OCG covers Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. As you can see it covers multiple countries that has different languages, with the caveat that English is a shared common secondary language.

They're only not allowed in official tournament settings so ya can still use them in causal also local play and if your opponent doesn't like the fact that ya are using OCG main decks cards then at the very least, ya can still use Extra Deck monsters as those are way cheaper than their TCG counterpart. I just bought UR Crimson Dragon for 3$, 3 Unchained Yama for 5.5$ and 2 Unchained Soul of Rage for 7.5$. In TCG Player, a single copy of Crimson Dragon alone is like 16$

The point is for asia countries outside japan (and korea, i forgot if china had their own cards) that use english more as secondary language, to be able to play OCG more comfortably without the need to keep opening website to read japanese cards.

that's the exact same secret and ultimate rare i got in my box, shooting star dragon and unchained abomination. the duelist nexus has 120 different cards, i got secret rare shooting quasar dragon. next month, there's asian english rarity collection which will likely have a ghost rare. how would tournaments even know they are AE unless they check every card.

It isn't that hard to check them. Card backs use the OCG, all of them are indicated with AE instead of EN and, in some cases, even unconcerned artworks as commons instead of LART Ultra Rare promotionals.
