I got such a great deal at pottery outlet here..found the small cement bashful Betty.. had to have thought it would be 40$ or so when I checked her out she was on clearance for 6$... needless to say I was thrilled and kinda gave her an aged paint patina.. she graces our bench in front yard!! Had to tell you my great find!!! Love this video!! Jerry is such a cutie as of course you are a beauty!!! Love y’all!! Judy in Pensacola Fl.

... I love little chickadees too!... there's nothing like that little sweet song of theirs, and they're such pretty little things! They and titmice snag one seed at a time as you say, and carry it off... then they're back for more. I love the pineapples... I'm a Southern girl too, and reside in central Maryland (zone 6), 1 mile south of the Mason-Dixon line! 👩🏼🌾💚🍁🍂🏡 =^..^=

You have such a beautiful way of speaking on video and absolutely love when Jerry puts his opinion in the conversation! Learn so much from you two, I just wish I was younger to be able to do all the variety of things you guys do! So glad Laura and Aaron introduced me to you! Beautiful video, especially about your bird bath and feeders! I'm one of those bird lovers too! Just got my subscription of Birds and Bloom magazine in a few weeks ago! So happy I found you with Garden Answers help! Big hugs from Deb in Central Louisiana!

I love the song birds, too! 🐦🪶 The other day a male Cardinal was checking things out on my back deck, so close to my house. I've read to place some stones in the bird bath because birds are afraid of deep (their perspective) water and they can step on them while they drink. Oh, I'm reminded I have several statuary in my basement. I didn't think they'd appreciate our sub-zero winters. Out of sight, out of mind. One is a granny gnome. She has such a joyful smile that reminds me of my grandmother. Gee, I hope I can carry them upstairs. I'm a lot older than when they went down there. Well, I'd better finish up outside. Got to drain the hoses, dump more soil on my DA roses so the graft union is a good couple of inches below surface, place cardboard and mulch where I want to smother the lawn, put away the last of my containers and take another load to the yard waste site. Possibility of snow later this week (I won't believe it until I see it).

Unique Stone has so many beautiful things! Seeing them incorporated into your yard really helps the vision. I love the pedestals under the urns! You may want another bench toward the birdbath. It would be charming to sit there with your coffee to watch the birds! Also one of those sweet frogs by the bridge/pond at the nursery. 🐸 Finally - your “Creekside Peaks” greenhouse - so exciting!

Loved this tour! The Unique Stone items are beautiful! I feed the birds, too, and could watch them all day. We have Anna's hummingbirds that stay here in western WA all year long so my feeders are always full for them. The Rufous hummers come in March and leave the end of summer. Every time I go to the nursery, I'm looking for plants for the hummers.

I have birdbaths at the edge of my yard, but close to my Natchez crape myrtles. Around 5:00 p.m. is birdbath happy hour, and my birdbaths are full of splashing, drinking birds. It was especially the case in the HOT summer. We don’t have birds feeders because of rats and bears. Eastern NC has lots of black bears, and they are coming into yards and raiding bir feeders.

Jenny - have you found problems with bird-feeders creating lots of weeds?
@GardeningwithCreekside3 жыл бұрын
Yes and no 😉. Because I use the sunflower seeds I do have seedlings that pop up under my feeder. They pull out really easy since we have a thick layer of mulch in the beds, but I also intentionally hang my feeders where I don’t have “good” flower beds (lots of perennials & annuals planted).
