Fun fact: The tanks are the strv 103, a Swedish tank. You may be thinking, how can one man fully operate the tank. Well, the 103 has duplicate controls at all stations and an auto loader, meaning it can be fully crewed by one man. Also, because the gun is fixed in place, it uses suspension hydraulics to raise or lower the entire tank to aim up and down.

I'm surprised, the STRV-103, that tank, has a hydraulic suspension that would allow the entire tank to tilt forward and back to aim the fixed gun, so I figured the devs would include that.

About tanks: this is some model of Swedish tank strv (Stridsvagn 103 or smth), it doesn’t have a turret. To rotate the main cannon u need to rotate all tank and for vertical aim there is such thing as hydraulic suspension. Check it out in the Ethernet, really cool vehicle.

ScrapMan Those Tanks are Swedish S Tanks, they do not have turrets. They utilize a hydropneumatic suspension to raise and lower the hull to increase or decrease the gun elevation in R/L. the gun is fixed to the hull.

The tank is an strv 103 series tank. It was a cold war swedish tank. The gun was connected to the front so it couldn't move. But the swede's devised a systen where the tank uses hydraulics to eleveta nd lower the gun

So this mission takes place in Sweden then; cool. FYI that is called the S Tank and the reason for the barrel being locked into a fixed position is because of the suspension system employed which gives the tank greater gun accuracy and elevation/depression angles while maintaining a high effective thickness of frontal armour. Also the mechanical system allows it to reverse as fast as it can go forward giving this tank the advantage when it comes to fighting on a ridgeline.
