As a wattson main I respect her B + tier. I think what many dont know is that her fences have a huge skill gap and can be used not just for defense, but also in a great aggressive way, if you can predict enemy moviment. Something also worth to say is that also her ultimate can protect you from multiple granades, abilities (making you able to control multiple teams), unlike a rampart or a newcastle that can just block take care of one team at time. Overall great video and good job at explaining every legend. You just got a new sub! 😀

I still prefer rampart, having physical cover is very useful in all these long range maps with no cover, i used to play wattson but switch to rampart cause the physical cover and having the extra gun is still pretty nice.

in response to your question at 3:20, I think Mirage pairs really well with a Blood/Bang combo or Seer/Bang. Sending Decoys through smoke for distractions and getting constant info on where the enemy is thru Bamboozles and scans is pretty nice. Additionally, Mirage rezzes in Bang smoke are pretty strong. Mirage is good at creating chaos and making the enemy feel uncomfortable so any Legend that can add to that chaos or benefit from the chaos pairs well with him. I haven't played too much with Mirage/Catalyst but I can see some potential there as well.

Really good video, I thought the analysis and reasoning for every legend was spot on. I just wanted to ask why you think the pickrate for Newcastle is so low? I’ve been maiming him for awhile and agree with his S tier but his pick rate is the lowest in the game

I think his pick rate is low bc he’s not super easy to use effectively so there aren’t a lot of people maining him (imo) I also think that since most players evaluate success based on kills and damage output that they don’t think impacting the game the way Newcastle can serves what they want to accomplish in game. But he’s a great legend and I think he’s super sick.

As a mirage main, I say playing with characters that create chaos like bangalore amplifies his entire kit, popping mirage ult while bang smoke is on you makes it a lot easier to pick people of and or rez. Basically anyone who makes a lot of noise and makes the fight more chaotic to where mirage just adds even more pressure and gets easy picks

that’s a good point. I noticed this the other day while duo queueing ranked and having a Mirage teammate. they would’ve been able to get the invisires off, for example, if there was Bang smoke to play.

Good list and as a mirage main to answer your question as to what legends synergize well with him, I’d pick bang as an obvious choice. Smoking while performing an invis rez can make it super hard to see where it’s coming from and even in a scenario where the bang is knocked, if you manage to get a mirage rez off, the bang can still smoke and armour swap while cloaked. The third pick would prob then just be a mobility character like valk or horizon.

Surprisingly my first bought legend was caustic but then I went to mirage in lower lvl lobbies he was broken 😂😂 but now I main Bangalore I am actually really surprised you have ash so high I would have put her in c tier

I loved this tier list. It was really well thought out and I agree more with your assessment than some others I’ve seen. I was super shocked to see that you had your tactical and ping bound to L2 and R3. That’s actually the exact same bindings I have setup, but I’m curious what kind of controller you use. I have a razor wolverine v2 chroma, and I use the extra set of shoulder buttons for aim and shoot since they have mechanical switches. I’m guessing you probably are using a PlayStation controller with L1 and R1 for ads and shoot, and you swapped ping and melee (which I like for preventing potentially fatal, accidental inputs), but I’m still curious anyway.

I think you’d find the controller I mentioned interesting for that reason. The mechanical switches are wonderful, and it has the perfect amount of extra buttons to allow me to never use the dpad, which I find really nice. @@jonasharp3 sometimes I feel odd for not running conventional button layouts or conventional settings (I use ALC). but gotta optimize, like you said, for my preferences and playstyle / equipment. I’ll take a look at the roller you run - thanks for the recommendation. tbh I’ve been eyeing the PS5 Pro.. but I’m open to considering all options. currently running a PS4 roller with back button attachments. & tysm! No problem man, I’d love to pick your brain about alcs some time. I personally think the only reason to not run them, is if you literally can’t be bothered to look up the conversions. I’ve seen a few content creators outright say that you shouldn’t use them though, which I find to be a bit harsh. It’s a bit tricky learning all settings to really optimize, but at the very least most people should just convert their sense and fuck with the response curve IMO. Definitely don’t copy someone else’s sense though, like literally just convert the default and adjust.

Being a rev main, it’s extremely noticeable they nerf him with every new map they build whether it be with zip lines to any and everywhere and walls and buildings that concave making them impossible to climb for example the walls/cliffs around Broken moon and Stormpoint and the buildings in Stormpoint. They nerf revanants ult bcuz of the revtane meta that in reality lasts 30s before the totem where’s off and they’re back to being normal killable enemies but won’t touch the seer and catalyst ults meta, revenants tactical moves slower than thrown gernades granted tacticals like ash’s move slower too but atleast maintain a direct line of movement and deal 20dg vs 10dg (idk how something that resembles more of an arcstar does more damage when stuck vs the actual arcstar), it’s sad how they’ve let revenant have one of the longest lores going and completely neglect him in the game to the point where they might scrap him and make a completely new legend. EA never fixes problems they always create new ones

Tbh i think that rampart is bit different from the rest of the control legends, because you can pretty much be a damage beast with Sheila if you know how to use it istead of carrying her 24/7, idk know exactly but im almost sure that has the most dps or close and at short to medium range is not that hard to control the recoil

I just feel like other legends’ kits are more useful overall, but your opinion is valid. Good Ramparts are def a problem to deal with (there just aren’t many) and players aren’t as afraid of mobile Sheila as they were in like Season 13 imo.

i have mained octane since season 9 and only really realized how much he's been nerfed this season, his pad is pretty pathetic. he's very fun but he's definitely outclassed, hope he gets a buff soon! also to new players, don't worry about how good a legend is, fun is always first! (i won't forgive revenant for getting my boy nerfed) imo lifeline is like S tier this season, she's my new main and her package is actually broken, only 8 seconds to get like 4 big heals, some attachments/ equipment, plus her res is actually amazing.

i defo think bloodhounds rework is great. obviously the scans themselves, and frequency of scans in ult is a nerf, but im not sure bloods passive is outclassed by ash passive tho. i think ash passive is better for the macro game knowledge because you get info on more teams at once, however with bloods white raven you pretty much have your ult for every fight you take (due to scanning raven giving ult charge) and the white raven doesn't require teams to fight to get info on them. they serve different purposes of ash letting you make smarter rotations and knowing which sides of zone will likely have the most players, and blood being the best character to find your team consistent fights, and to go into those fights with the advantage of having your ult and info on the enemies. they both have a similar type of ability, and can be used in similar ways, but they specialise in different things.

that's fair. the white raven is definitely really interesting and is useful and I did rank Bloodhound higher than Ash overall. I think it depends on the playstyle of the player / squad as well, but Ash also has the ability to scan deathboxes which gives precise locations of enemies.

Buff they should give revenant is teammate inclusive ult and should only be something teammates can access to like a seer ult or being passive to a caustic ult or relatively passive to a horizon ult, allowing them to run faster similar to a Maggie ult maybe a bit slower and removing the distortion when getting shot at like one may face when getting ticked but zone or shot at with no shields, also removing the nuclear blast affect of his totem and instead nerfing octanes jump pad by making the deployment sound effect louder since ultimately that’s not going anywhere it can last the entire game and doesn’t effect anyone. Revenant is meant to be known as a silent assassins and everything they’ve done to him has nerfed and removed that title from him, his footsteps r even one of the loudest too if he’s not couching.

@@rydollaz yup 😂 I also solo queue with him on ranked and either everyone tries to pressure in placing my totem early/far away even though none of them are pathfinders with zips, octane with Jump pads, or wraiths with preset portals to closer locations, and the fight will be miles away, or multiple squads will join in and all use my totem or camp it/destroy it… my best advice is waiting until theres knocks beginning to appear, wait it out a few more seconds to see if any thirds r going in and if there on wait until they push first and place the totem behind some rock, building or high ground. I have over 6k kills with him and ppl like to blame me for their stupidity when the totem push doesn’t work for them 😂 it’s a great experience, then they say revenant and I are stupid for selecting such a bad character… i do use my mic and say “wait until it’s late in the fight or a knock” that way we can catch them off guard looting or ressing, but then they start to yell saying put it down. I’m the end that’s another reason ppl give Rev a bad rep, they don’t time him right

Loba being meta inadvertedly brings her usefulness down (slightly). The more teams that have a Loba, the worse her black market becomes because the loot is stretched between so many black markets.

She has a very high skill ceiling and a very low skill floor, so most ramparts you come across are just headless chickens. But players who do master ramparts kit and movement techs (like sheila b-hopping, or amped cover supergliding) have access to a versatile offensive/defensive kit that can pretty much do well in any situation. I don't think she's a-tier, but it's not fair to rank her c-tier just because most rampart players are awful.

you know.. I respect that. I’ve seen some TGM gameplay that makes me go 🤔 and definitely going against a good Rampart player is very problematic, objectively. who would you rank her above, I guess.. when it comes to my list? & where do you think she ranks compared to the other Control class legends?

@@rydollaz I'd rank her slightly above Vantage. I think their kits are actually pretty similar (weapon ultimates, amping damage for teammates, passives meant to encourage picking up a specific type of weapon), but Vantage has a much worse hitbox than Rampart. She's still bottom of the controller legends though. Caustic, Watson and Catalyst all objectively offer much more, especially now that Catalyst is starting to be played by pro teams, a lot of people are going to realize how strong catalyst is. So for the control legends I'd say its: Catalyst > Caustic = Wattson > Rampart

That’s a good take. Rampart def has her advantages compared to Vantage and Vantage def has a worse hitbox. the recon and movement give Vantage more versatility tho imo but it obviously depends on the playstyle of the player. & I agree with you and maybe should’ve ranked Catalyst higher. She is really good.

@@rydollaz I think rampart should be B+, her walls are a good piece of cover that increases your guns damaged per bullet.And her reworked Sheila is the fastest time to kill weapon in the game.These are just my opinions of course, but just thought it’d be good to chime in on why I think rampart should be B+.

Bangalore is not the best legend, that is laughable. In Plat and above lobbies it's easy to dodge the ultimate. Overrated as hell. Would rather have a control, skirm, and support or recon.

@rydollaz I think there is no one best legend. Everyone can make anyone work. I think there is a certain group of Legends that have a higher possibility to get players to where they want and need to be. You can possibly even make a tier list for the best in every new sub category. It's all preference. But generally speaking for the broad majority of players, taking ranked mode into consideration, the following Legends would be deemed as "Meta": Loba, Wraith/Pathfinder, Crypto. The following Legends are team based. They all offer different utility for the team, and the buffs they've all received from this season puts them above the rest. I admittedly think that the Assault class is the second worst class of Legends because 1. The Legends in this class disregarding Bang and MM are outclassed by other Legends 2. They don't offer anything to help your team. You want smart loot? Have a Loba. You want more ammo? Have a Loba. I can go on with why I think the others are Meta and why certain Legends aren't. I like to think of Apex as what it is. A team game. Bangalore is a flaw in the thinking of how Apex is supposed to be played. Bangalore has great single player play, but when you're playing with a team and you need to form a Meta group of Legends. She should not be picked.

@@josephdelgado413 I respectfully disagree with the notion that the assault perk is one of the worst, despite whatever legends comprise the assault class. you should simply be evaluating the perk itself, standalone. I also respectfully disagree that Bangalore is only a great single player play.. she's great on any team and casuals and pros alike rely so much on what her kit offers to any team. I will agree that it would be interesting to evaluate best legends by class and it is all preference. & I 100% agree that Apex is a team game so of course team comp is important. and the legends you listed (Loba, Crypto, and Wraith/Path) all offer a lot of utility in the "meta" right now.
