One other factor I don't see covered much in videos is the change in sound frequency. These mufflers lower the frequency to a level that is less noticable/annoying that blends better into background like wind or in the city, background road noise, etc.

Hi, Getting up early and firing up my diesel heater has always concerned me, in so much as disturbing anyone else parked nearby. So it's interesting to see the sound difference, albeit relatively small. How much dearer was the new one? Thanks, Steve

When i fitted my first heater the sound traveled few hundred yards. In fact on airfield i could hear exhaust reverberating off hangers. Sounded like jet engine running.

I think one problem, using vehicle silencer tech. which is pulsing. Here we have continuous flow to suppress. How much noise is generated by the corrugations of tube or the exit of the pipe. Quite high freq. to suppress.

Have my 2nd heater tomorrow to experiment. I want nearly silent.
