I was going to hobby lobby for 1 skein of yearn….now I’m getting cardstock too!!!! 😁 I’ve watched hundreds of your videos including your craft room tours but I’ve been dying to ask how do you keep track of the items that you have. More along the lines of the stamps. I know you organize them by brand for work purposes but I’m wondering how you knew what thank you does you had to go pull them out for this project? Do you keep a list or is it something that you thimb through each time? Dying to know how you stay organized in that manner

Me too! I’m trying to come up with a plan but not really sure about it. I find I think more about what company makes the product (I have pretty much everything by Tim Holtz and a lot of Sizzix too). But my brain also thinks by topic or theme. I’ll get there someday lol.

I was just thinking about using this technique with some core'dinations cardstock I have in my stash. The cardstock comes in a variety of colors but has a different color core (non white). It's not glossy so the effect would be a bit different, but it could add some nice contrast to an embossed panel. 🤔

While I truly appreciate this technique using 3D embossing folders, I also would have really liked to see the results using the original embossing folders. Many of us have the older type of embossing folder and I would have like to see you work with them too.

I can only fit so much into a video :) but the diamond pattern one is mostly non-3D so that should give you a good idea. Regular folders will work great!

I absolutely love this technique...I cannot buy any cardmaking supplies because I am currently organizing my studio and I have found so much unused product. Copic markers, Arteza Everblend art markers or any permanent marker will work on this technique. I also used Arteza metallic chalk markers. They also dry. I finding that the in pads don't really dry. I did 13 different ones some I'm leaving as is, most of them I'm coloring.

Gorgeous results with this technique, I have to dig and see if I have the correct cardstock. However it might work with shiny white and some alcohol inks. I wonder if it works if I hot foil some smooth cardstock, worth a try. I will use the sanding (buffing) blocks for nails, you get 20 instead of 5 for the same price. I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this. But those gorgeous embossing folders are on my wishlist now for Mother’s Day. Thank you for this very inspiring tutorial 👍

Hey Jennifer, I just bought two packs of Tim Holtz idea-ology metallic "kraft-stock" The back of the paper is kraft color, not white. Would these work with this technique? I suspect that rather than white, tan would show through so I would have to be careful with what color or types of inks I use.

I love this technique and am ordering the peony embossing folder. I think the sanded version with a simple sentiment would be all you'd need for a card front. BTW, I love your blue ring.

I absolutely LOVE how this looks! I HAD to try it with a Sizzix 3D Floral die I had and some gold cardstock but the Altenew folder you used that is totally covered with flowers is SO beautiful. Quick question - how do you keep from scratching the negative spaces when you're using the sander?
